OK DUH!!!!!!! I should have figured that out on my own. My brain is mush tonight, I had to go to back to school night tonight. DH got to meet both girls teachers. He seemed to like them both, but he doesn't like the TA in 2nd grade with Emily. I'm not sure how that's going to go.

Good Advice......but I couldn't let it go with why I made the choices I made and why others make the choices they make. What bothered me the most was the opinion that all people who worked were doing it to have more material things. I know plenty who work to keep a roof and food and electricity. I think some people get very arrogant in their decisions when they don't agree, they see it as a personal attack. It isn't easy for a mom to leave their child and go to work, I don't know any who does it easily.

Yep, I get drawn in every now and again...I always kick myself for it later...but I do get drawn in

This time I made myself stop reading it at page two. I was strong and good... for me!! But..I could have just as easily been drawn in. If I thought I could change even one mind or help change even one hard heart...but in the end, I just get my own blood pressure upe!

We use meals as breaks too. And no-line character meetings. We've never done the dining plans.

This will be our second time using the plan (lucky ducks we are it's our second crack at free dining too)

Yep, I get drawn in every now and again...I always kick myself for it later...but I do get drawn in

This time I made myself stop reading it at page two. I was strong and good... for me!! But..I could have just as easily been drawn in. If I thought I could change even one mind or help change even one hard heart...but in the end, I just get my own blood pressure upe!

And of course I did just that. Boy was I upset at their arrogance. But now I'm where I belong. I can just chat about happier things.

Hey, at least they have TA's!! My sister was just on the phone with me tonight upset over the fact that her son's 1st grade class has only 1 teacher and 26 kids!! NO TA.

Of course, it does help that we know you are right!!

OMG!!! That is too many kids. Our TA doesn't stay in the class, she rotates around 6 classes, but she is responsible for them at lunch, and she yells at them all the time. She should be with 5th graders, not 2nd graders, they are only 7.

That didn't come out right...I didn't mean that it's okay. I just got all excited that someone mentioned what I talked to my sister about just tonight. I guess I get over excited sometimes (the night before a big trip being a prime example).

My nephew and his girlfriend are here...I wish they wouldn't have driven all night so I could have spent a bit more time with them before bed...but I am making them homemade pancakes in the morning (guess I won't get away with me "no cooking 'til October" plan...that will have to start tomorrow after breakfast).

Yep, gruff people can have hearts of gold...but little ones (I think) do a bit better with the more "gruff" ones when they are a bit older.

That is terrible. We have one TA for each grade, except the Special Ed and Kindergarten classes. There is a TA in each of those classes.
