Hey Bonnie, I hit the quote for the wrong post! It was supposed to be about your problem parents, not Brent and your pizza!

Tricia and Denise: Sorry I missed you. I know, those picky parents are really on my mind. They were telling me how disappointed they were in our school and now that I'm here, they expect a lot out of me and stuff. Telling me what they think I should be covering in the classroom this year. I was pretty surprised. And then the tone they used and the pissiness of the dad when he spoke. I shoudl have had the principal in there during the meeting so she could protect me!
Oh well, I'll know for next time.
IN the meantime.....Woo hoo!!! It's Friday!

paigevz said:I feel so bad for the little ones whose parents want them to be the tiptop all the time. You know, NO one can do that ALL the time. I have a brilliant child in my class this year.........reads on 4th/5th grade level, learns quickly, thinks outside the box, whole nine yards.............but he gets the occasional B on something he hasn't put his whole effort into. Those parents aren't up there all the time.
On the other hand, I have a bright child who is quite young, who does some B and some A work. His mom does expect all As (I have a girl in the same boat), absolutely perfect behavior..........and I am the one she blames when it doesn't happen!
How exactly does that hurt US?paigevz said:Oh, you're gonna say yuck...............we had McDonald's. I really like McDonald's and the kids love it of course..................![]()

paigevz said:They ALWAYS say the kid's never had problems until now, but they usually have had! My biggest problem kid (and parent) had the same "she's never had this kind of trouble before". They called a meeting to basically tell administration they HAD to move her out of my class. I came to that meeting with emails from her K and 1st grade teachers outlining their issues with the very same behaviors.
Guess what? The next year they had ANOTHER meeting in which they wanted to oust the 3rd grade teacher, and again, said she wasn't this kind of trouble in 2nd........oh, please.![]()
AND........what is their threat? IF we don't put her in another classroom, they will homeschool her!How exactly does that hurt US?
