Probably not, I think that they close the pools for the winter in Sandbridge around labor day. We are so excited and ready to go. All we do is scrapbook, talk, laugh and of course EAT all weekend.

Good afternoon, Mad Chatters! So Jay has left for her trip by now. Lucky duck!

What's everybody else up to today? I had a meeting with a set of parents who were really pissy with me today. I felt like telling them we don't need their patronage that bad and if they don't like it, find another school. They are SOOOO picky. They think their child is brilliant (he's just average) and that he should know how to write his name better and stuff. He just turned 4, and he just doesn't have the fine motor coordination to control those movements very well yet, just like that majority of the class. They just don't understand that. I feel really bad for him, if his parents have such high expectations of him.

Now, I realize I should have made it more clear that we can't change everything we do to please one set of parents. I've never seen parents this picky.

I am so happy I will be going to DisneyWorld for Halloween I will not be going on Halloween day, but I will be going to DisneyWorld for a week in October This is going to be so much fun

Tricia and Denise: Sorry I missed you. I know, those picky parents are really on my mind. They were telling me how disappointed they were in our school and now that I'm here, they expect a lot out of me and stuff. Telling me what they think I should be covering in the classroom this year. I was pretty surprised. And then the tone they used and the pissiness of the dad when he spoke. I shoudl have had the principal in there during the meeting so she could protect me!

Oh well, I'll know for next time.

Have I met a ton of those! There's one of those in a neighboring class right now, and she wants to ask about EVERY SINGLE assignment he doesn't get an A on. Since we switch for social studies and science, some of the assignments are mine. She needs a detailed note on the back of every one as to what it was, why his isn't up to par, so on and so forth. Then she wants to redo it with him at home to get an A. I have accepted two back from her. There's only one more week in this six weeks, and second six weeks I will have to tell her that he can only redo failing papers..........a 70 will stay a 70.
