He works retail. He stays so busy, it seems like he's never home. What does your DH do?

He's an architect, but he's not licensed. He is currently studying to take a series of 9 tests to get himself licensed in the stated of Arizona. Which means he won't be able to stamp drawings here, but he can still make more money. He can't get licensed here beause he does not have a masters in architecture. There are two states left (Arizona being one of them) where you can still be licensed without your degree. They will take work experience instead, as long as you can pass those tests. It took a long time to get approval for testing, but now he finally has it. He just needs to get them scheduled. :thumbsup2

Reading this, at first, I thought you literally meant a dog bone :rotfl:

We made DS earn his DS this time! Last time he had the SP and got mad at a game and threw it down! Now that he paid for it this time and he's a little older, he's been taking good care of it ;)

I'm such a spaz! Sorry Denise! Well, now everyoen that's on knows, so it's all good! :)

My DH is in retail too. 10 years as an associate, not even management. Hopefully he'll finally be a teacher soon though! :artist:
No problem, Sarah! We all have those moments! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

I'm really tired! You might have missed my last post. Our basement flooded twice on Thursday night, so I spent the last few days cleaning up. Hopefully the president will declare our area a disaster area so I can at least get some tax breaks. Plus it's HOT :sunny: :furious: and my allergies are really really bad.

But at work this morning a sweet little boy brought in a dog bone (actually a piece of paper that said "milkbone" on it for one of our stuffed animals. Her name is Annie and she's a puppy with 3 legs. The mom didn't know that the dog is actually from a series of books and the kid was super excited. It was very sweet. :goodvibes

Yesterday I got to give our Summer Reading grand prize to a boy. It was a Nintendo DS Lite and 3 games. I thought he stopped breathing for a second! :bitelip: It was really great!

That SUCKS about your basement, Sarah! :sad2: How's it looking now?

That must have been awesome awarding that DS! My girls LOVE their DSes. Especially Nintendog! :thumbsup2

:lmao:

Your DS idea is very good! We had a lot of parents who were unhappy that the kids were reading in order to win a video game system, but it really worked! Plus I'm a big believer in the reading power of video games. Some games have more reading than novels!

Guess what? It's pouring here, now! :dance3:

Wish it would rain here, but it isn't supposed to until this weeknd. It's stinkin' HOT this week (around 100 degrees), but next week it will be in the 80's. We're gonna wait till then to take the metro into D.C.

I know I keep talking about DS, but that is something he wants to do! He's been wanting to do that since he was 9 y/o. I'll have to tell him to look up your DH when he gets older to find more info on it :thumbsup2

I had an hour long program for Nintendogs and Animal Crossing. It was a HUGE hit, and I had a ton of fun. :) My job is sooo tough :teeth:

The basement isn't too bad. It actually got DH to throw out a bunch of crap he didn't need. I had to clean the carpet 4 times to get it clean. The tiles are all coming up too. It's really annoying, but it could be a lot worse! I just hope it doesn't happen again!

Sure! There's nothing DH loves to talk about more than his JOB! :rotfl:

Sarah, My DD has Animal Crossing too. She loves both those games.

Very true! At least they were reading, it's not like it was a raffle where you just fill out your name and do nothing! Good job, lady!

I love Nintendogs too! I sneak a few minutes playing with the lab puppy on his DS! :ssst:

He would die if he knew I said this, but he still plays with his legos and loves the pc games Zoo Tycoon and Rollercoaster Tycoon! :teeth:

Thanks! :teeth:

There's a new Dalmations version of Nintendogs coming out!

You all should try Animal Crossing, it's super addictive! Plus it's fun to live in the same town as your kids. The characters will talk about them and show you letters they write. DH has a wrestling mask on and all the characters tell me about the "super cool wrestling dude" or the "weird guy with the mask." It's fun!

That's so funny you mentioned those games. DH has BOTH and plays them all the time! :lmao: It's all about building stuff, I guess. :thumbsup2

Where did Denise go? :confused3

Sarah, I think being a librarian would be fun. Do you have to have a specialized degree to get a job at the library?

Bye Denise!

I'll have to check out Animal Crossing, sounds like fun! :teeth:

That's interesting Bonnie! Sounds like your DH has a mini me running around my house! :rotfl:

I gotta get going. Bye girls!

Sarah, will you PM me about working at the library? I'm quite interested. Thanks!
