Do they have the curros in WDW? Or is that just Disneyland? Those are my favorite snack, and of course, the pickles at the fruit stand next to Splash Mountain at DL.

You have the Scutes (open toes)??!! I wanted those before I saw the mary janes. Are the Scuts comfy?

The bottoms are just as comfy as the other Crocs but I am not so sure about the tops. They tend to rub a bit on the top of my foot. This never happens in my normal crocs. Do you like your Mary Janes?

I just got ds some "off road" Crocs. They are army green with a bright orange starp. He will be getting those tomorrow for his birthday. They have the coolest adjustable back strap.

I see by your ticker that you will be taking a trip without kids. Is this your first WDW trip without the kids? Will you be going to all of the parks? Please partake of a delicious something or other in our honor!! :)

Haven't been without the kids since we have had them (16 years). This is a business trip for me, vacation for DW. I think she is just going to relax (I am the Disney Fan) and go to the parks with me in the evenings. We are planning 4 days for the parks - I do not think we will make to all of them, but we have been before and kinda have our days planned out. We will be doing the Hoop-dee-do and have dinner/priority seating for Fantazmic (which I have never seen) and ADR for the steak house at the contemporary. It should be a great time.

As for eating something for you guys - it is a done deal....I will prove a detailed review for you.

6 days at the contemporary. I am attending a Disney Institute course.

Cy, I have a real favor to ask you (do feel free to say no) but could you, would you please check if the Contemporary does have daily activities at the resort? I know that the other deluxe hotels do and we have really enjoyed them when we have stayed at those resorts (things like the lady bug release or the lei making or the resturant tour, flag family of the day etc). We have never stayed at the Contemporary (changing this September) and I have been unable to pin down a "real" answer even here on the DIS. I know it would be remembering to ask an extra question at check in but I would be very grateful if you could/would if you have the chance. I don't even need to know what they offer (if that is too much to keep track of) just if they offer anything at all! THANKS!!

We love the turkey legs.

No problem. I will put it on my list!

I don't like to wear my Beaches without socks, so I doubt I'd like the scutes. But I love the Mary Janes. I've been wearing them with little half(short lacey) socks like I did when i was 4 years old. :lmao: They are comfy without socks too, they don't make my feet sweat as much. I think I'd prefer the Beaches for WDW though. But the MJs look cute with a skirt.

Doing such a happy dance I am almost okay with the fact that I have to wait until mid September to enjoy the Contemp. :goodvibes THANK YOU to infinity and beyond!!

Will DW be able to join you or will this be a truly solo trip?

She is coming with me. She will have a couple days to her self, but we will do stuff together every night. She is looking forward to it.

There, I found the answer to my own question...dw will be joining you! How romantic!! The thought of sneaking away to Disney with my dh is beyond wonderful (but not gonna happen anytime soon, the kids are still too young and my guilt would be GREAT).

You will LOVE Fantasmic! It's a great show! At least in my opinion. Make sure you send DW over to the Grand Floridian for something wonderful at the spa if she is into that kind of thing!! :)

I like to wear mine with socks as well (I have Beaches and Caymans and wear both kinds with socks). In fact, I once saw an entire thread where people were complaining about others wearing socks with Crocs and I :lmao: because I think they are way more comfortable that way and I cannot help it if someone finds fault with my feet!! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Bonnie...are you still here? Or did you jump off line to try and figure out dinner? Tonight it will be deli meat and cheese on yummy oat nut bread (I really do love the oat nut bread) and a peice of some sort of fruit on the run. By the time dh gets home from rehab for his knee and ds1 gets back from playing at the neighbors we will have to grab our food and head out. My youngest two have t-ball tonight.

that sounds really interesting! I wonder what I need to do to get my work to send me to a Disney Institute course.... :p :teeth:

I just might send her for a little something over there. i heard there are a couple more spas at WDW - so I am sure she will find one.

I think they offer like 4 different courses, but they are kind of spendy. Maybe if you ask really nice :teeth:

Man I'm sorry I missed that thread! I only wear socks when I have long pants on except in disney where I wore clam diggers (no shorts for this big thighed gal). Without the socks I would have gotten blisters. I rather look silly than have blisters. Plus what about the socks that the Crocs people make? The ones with the colored dots that stick out of the holes? :p
Crocs with socks!! Crocs with socks!

I need a pair of Caymens for winter.

Dh turned it down when his company tried to send him...I almost flew into a rage that would have surely put his life at risk...but then through my haze of anger he somehow made the point that it was the week we were going to be in TX for a wedding (if a wedding wouldn't have been part of the equation a TX trip would have been canceled so fast your head would spin and I do have to admit, if dh, myself and ds1 all hadn't have been in the wedding, I would have done some serious thought as to skipping out). I just keep hoping that they book another training session there (but I have not figured out a way to get dh to start pushing them to do so).

Aww bad luck! My vacation this year falls on a friend of DBF's wedding. He is in it but I'm not. I'll miss seeing him in a tux (probably the first and last time) but sorry hon the mouse is calling! :rotfl:
