What's Wegmans? :confused3 Ugh! I don't have any of y'all's cool places! :3dglasses

Wegman's is the most awesome grocery store, that is if a grocery store can be awesome. It's more of an experience than a store. :lovestruc

Consumer Reports has ranked it as the best grocery store.

Wegman's is an over priced grocery store, awesome, but over priced. We got one a year ago. It does have a nice Asian wokery.

I have to respectfully disagree! The gourmet & pre-prepared items are expensive, but since I stopped shopping at Giant & started going to Wegman's, my grocery bills have been a lot smaller. They even do a price comparison each week between the store I used to shop at & themselves, and they always come out cheaper. If you steer clear of all the fancy stuff (which granted, is hard to do 'cause it's so yummy), the other stuff is very reasonably priced. I think a lot of people THINK it's over-priced because the store is just so pretty to look at.

I want a Wegman's! I do hear that we are getting a Trader Joe's... so I guess we are going the right direction...

I must visit a Wegmans!!! My new grocery hot spot is called "Sunflower Farmer's Market" which is like a Whole Foods or Trader Joes but reeeeally good prices. We make our own peanut butter :3dglasses Plus, and don't judge me on this, they have free samples of California rolls and Philadelphia Rolls (that's sushi for you Missourians) made on the spot...and I may get a couple each visit. Ok, 3. But no more than 4 or 5 tops. :rolleyes1 Yuh huh huh hummmm!

I'll also disagree.

Generally, I find that only the prepared foods and organic produce are overpriced. Pretty much everything else is competitively priced. For example, milk everywhere else is over $4/gallon; at Wegman's it is $2.85. Boneless chicken breasts were $2.69.

They have a mini book store, mini home-entertaining section, and mini holiday section. I've never been in such a clean, inviting grocery store. It really is quite the experience.

Now Trader Joe's I'm not so fond of, but I think that is because the one closest to me is very small and located in a part of a shopping center that doesn't really provide enough parking. Our Trader Joe's doesn't sell wine either. :sad2:

Well, I'm trying to keep that on the down-low. Seems that DISsing is frowned upon while we're supposed to be working.:snooty:

Thanks for the headsup, Rob! Fortunately, I don't think I'll be traveling out that way any time soon, so I'm safe. :rotfl: Congrats to DS!
