Ok, I guess it's official. I put money (credit card charges anyway) down tonight so I'm heading to Branson, MO this weekend for our first vacation with the whole family in 23 months (last trip we ALL took together was to WDW in December 2006). It's also been about 4 years or so since we all rode more than 2 hours (this is about a 4-hour trip) in the car together!

We're staying in a 2BR/2BA condo, Friday and Saturday night, at Still Waters Lakefront Resort that has about the same square footage (1153) as our first house did (1197) and going to Silver Dollar City on Saturday and (I think) Fantastic Caverns on the way back home on Sunday.

Oh Robbie, that place looks so AWESOME!!!! You will all have a blast. Family trips make for the most memorable trips. I have always wanted to go to Branson, MO. Doubt I will be getting there any time soon seeing as I am way out here in CA. Would you take some pics while you are sightseeing and post them for me??? (p.s. I really like your tag!!!!)

It is only 10pm here in CA and I just came back from swimming!!!

1. I just kind of wish we could have gotten away last weekend when the weather was in the high 70s instead of the high 50s like it's supposed to be this weekend (high 40s here in KC this weekend). I definitely plan to try to post some pics (course I have a pic of my carved pumpkin that I've also been planning to post for 6 days now! -- ugh!).

2. Hmmm, speak for yourself lady! Actually, I had been sleeping for a little while when my dog decided she needed to go out (in the rain) to go potty. In the rain potty's in the middle of the night are prezackly why I paid good money to fence in our backyard! Well, one of the big reasons anyway.

That's terrific, one of my coworkers and her family stayed there in August, and they said it was fabulous, so I am sure you will all have a great time!
