Lunch? On your birthday? Who ever heard of such a thing!

They have Thai restaurants in Iowa? Really? j/k :)

-- Rob
YES, lunch, on my birthday, amazing isn't it?

No, well, not in CB, that I know of, but we went to a pub, and I'm not sure how you would classify it, the toppings were thai, but its lavash, which is pakistani or something... anyway, it was in OMAHA, that is Nebraska...

Yup. To prove I didn't make it up:

"40 daisy-daisies" Ahhh, VBS "remembories"!

Punkin' PIE??! You can't replicate that with a candle, I tell you what.
I just love making (and eating) pies. With maybe a little tiny dallop of Whipped Cream or "panilla" ice cream. By tiny, I mean vat or half gallon.

Which reminds me, the Starbucks pumpkin pie spice Chai is dee-lish~!

Kids and animals getting hurt make me cry! Old Yeller, Lassie, K9 Cop, etc.
BUT, I'm desensitized to dudes getting shot, or worse, in the movies or on TV :confused3
This sounds yummy, I love Chai, although I must say that generally Starbucks is NOT my favorite chai, Panera's is MUCH nicer...

Goot Morning sunshines!

Where's Squiddy?

What are "Grits", Dis Yoda?
You seriously don't know what grits are?? That's right, you are the one we had to explain proper iced tea to on TwinkieMama's trippie, right?? Short version, take corn and pour in enough hot water that the corn explodes into a consistency similiar to cream of wheat... that's grits.

I remember that! :rotfl2: Good times.
Exploded corn hot cereal. Yummy. Course, I'd slap butter, gravy, cheese, or Ranch on it like I do all healthy things.

Hmm, never thought of ranch, that doesn't sound too appealing. I actually like grits, my cousins say I am disfunctional though cause I eat them southern style or "yankee" style, ie with butter and a little salt and pepper or with a little maple syrup... white gravy sounds good to me too...I'll have to try that one...

Ok, yes, butter and salt/pepper does sound good, Yankee!

I only really slather on ranch on veggies or deep fried stuff. Maple and butter sounds good too. Or cheese? Hmmm.

I think they DO sell grits in the oatmeal section in our Utah stores.

Must not DIS while hungry!

oh, you're hungry, so I should not tell you about the lovely birthday dinner last night, with taco salads, including sour cream, guacamole, lots of cheese, etc... followed by my mothers coconut cake... which is a white cake liberally frosted with real hand-whipped cream, then add flake coconut to the top and sides... it is yummy!

Or the wonderful Hawaiian Carrot Cake ice cream I had yesterday?? Mmmm, it is SO good... I happily choose it over CHOCOLATE and I LOVE chocolate!

Hey hags! This deer carcass fashionista needs halloween costume ideas for Chet. He is feeling left out of the Halloween spirit.

I'm thinking Joan Crawford... you know, from "Mommie Deerest?";) A nice black wig, red lipstick, couple of wire hangers...

ITA!:thumbsup2 And cheaper too.

Now this is just plain mean! But, you were the birthday girl, so you get a pass. Just this once! Next time, we'll expect a FedEx cake delivery!

We don't have a Panera! What in the sam hill am I missing out on???

Yeah, thanks for that post as I gnaw on carrots with hummus and Crystal Lite on the rocks. Grrrrrr.

Duh! It takes them so long to deliver b/c they have to stop every few hundred miles & shake the boxes that say "fragile," while they help themselves to a few treasures. Oh, and they get out your mattress and jump on it. With dirty feet.

Still want that furniture?:rolleyes1

When do you start work, and what company are ya working for?
They could very well be doing that! I still want it though as well...i'm sleeping on the dog bed and my husband has a sleeping bag.

I started Monday as a Project Engineer :)

Goot Morning sunshines!

Goot?

Grits - Girls Raised In The South ;) (which I am) but the other kind are nastiness.

Yeah, thanks for that post as I gnaw on carrots with hummus and Crystal Lite on the rocks. Grrrrrr.

What! No Panera! That is so sad. I love me some Panera.

1. Nothing really. I do use my Panera's wireless internet from their parking lot and/or the adjacent Jiffy Lube from time to time, however.

2. You've got Crystal Lite? I've got PLAIN water, quickly approaching room temperature at that!

Oh, just their yummy soup, fantastic salads & sammies, and the out-of-this-world Chai tea. And iced green tea. And chocolate scones. And bagels. And brownies bigger than your head.;)

Yay for the job, and double yay for Panera!! Unlike some people, I like to go INSIDE the building, rather than lurk in the parking lot like some creepy WiFi thief. :rolleyes1

(Jiffy Lube? Seriously? There are soooo many jokes to be made!)

HOWDY DOODY CHAT-AHOLICS!!!!

Hi Kar! Riley (4 yr old) was sitting next to me a while ago, and I noticed he was waving at something. It was to your waving smiley! You made his morning.:) And then Rob probably unmade it by pointing out your similar (but different) tags. How exactly did that come to pass, anyway?

I am in mourning - just paid $1,000 to get my furnace fixed and then they tell me that really I should look into buying a new one. HELLO??? Do I look like I am made out money?

Hey hags! This deer carcass fashionista needs halloween costume ideas for Chet. He is feeling left out of the Halloween spirit.

I have always thought that a Hula girl costume is both tasteful and manly!

Why of course you are!

My stuff arrives tomorrow! Woo! No more sleeping bags for me.
Of course, then I realize all the stuff we need and get to have another $1k shopping trip to Home Depot :(

Brownies? SCONES? (I barely noticed the healthy listings you mentioned).

Ok, here's what I want to know:

What do y'all consider to be a "scone"?
In Utah (and California) a scone is a fried bread dough served hot with butter, honey and maybe powdered sugar, often with a side of hot cocoa. I've had what I'd call a "biscuit" that was called a scone (at tea at the GF). Cultural, regional, societal differences fascinate me.

Jiffy Lube! Not going to touch that with a 10 foot pole.

Ouch!
You do NOT, in fact, look like you are made of money  Not sure which is better: rich and cold ~or~ poor and warm.

Yes, tasteful, manly Hula girls rock my socks. A coconut mansiere would be even better.

Hola Kar! Did you get your secret PM from the TF? I voted to keep mine.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! I did get my awesome secret PM!!! Can I just say that was so WICKED COOL!!!! :thumbsup2 And I am also keeping my new TAG!!!! Did you see Robbie's tag??? Robbie came over to the thread and I posted on that thread that Rob was IN DA HOUSE and the TF added that to his tag!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey Babe, I do not see you much on FG's!
