What's wrong with your wuppy????? WHAT???
Something going on with her eyes this morning, especially the right one. I took her in expecting it to be nothing but fearing the worst. Sure enough, the vet said she was probably fine, probably just got something in there (of course, by the time I got her there -- it's about 25 miles away -- the eye looked normalish). The vet said we were probably just seeing her "third eyelid" :scared: and showed it to me again and it does look nasty!

The other good news is that the vet did not charge us anything to take a look at her (which is part of the reason we drive 25 miles to that vet). I had some time to kill between the vet visit and the first basketball game -- I was actually hoping I might get a call from a friend to help pass the time some -- so I honestly went down to the downtown Independence area and drove around looking at the LDS and RLDS "stuff" there.

Pour in a can of Campell's condensed chicken noodle soup, a can of water, and turn it on. :confused3

NO WAY!

I should have known better than to trust you.
Well, SHE doesn't seem to be here to cover herself.

It looks like she just went *poof* without even saying good bye? :confused3 Off to eat a snack and then to the gym to work it off, I guess.

(ETA: I do know, however, that sometimes Breezy HAS to *poof* in a hurry.)

yeah, she doesn't want to be on that naughty list of hers.

2. Hmmm, today's high here was 38 and we had snow flurries this morning.
3. I'm strongly considering going to see that myself sometime soon.
4. Bye bye Kar!

DD & I went to an Alpaca farm today. I go there weekly as part of my job. I take 2 kids there as part of a jobsite. I worked DD's tail off. Then we went with my mom to get her more bras. Man the preteen attitude came out cause she was tired.

Hola Chatters! No time to read back, but just wanted to drop in & say "hey y'all!" Buuuusy day today! Got a new phone, b/c mine died, and also my contract was up. Yup. Got a spiffy new iPhone! Wasn't going to get it initially, since DH has one, but it ended up only being $50 more than the cheap phone I was going to get! W/ DH's corporate discount, plus family plan (and his half of the bill is expensed for work), we're actually paying less than we were for our 2 old phones. I swear there was some sort of weird Disney math going on in the AT&T store!:confused3

Anywho, DS 10 and I are walking/jogging in a 5K "Turkey Trot" at 7 am, so I'd better get my beauty sleep!

I'll catch up tomorrow.

Ciao!

I'm HERE! For a minute. Now I have to read/skim back a smidge.

Went to Walmart to look at wii's. I'm troubled. What's with the off-brand components that are sold right with the wii's? Do I NEED that stuff or are the num-chucks (sp?) or remotes enough. I'm making my big purchase tomorrow so I need answers people!

I DID say good night...just on another thread. I DID have to *POOF*, didn't you get my ESP(N) message?

Poor doggie eye ball!!! Ewwww, on the other eyelid.

I DIDn't go workout due to the fact there is a non-related little 10 year old boy in da house who thinks he's sleeping over with my boys :confused3 . They DID ask me but I said I'd think about it and suddenly there's a sleeping bag and pellow here. So I caved and said "Yes...as long as everyone's quiet!"

We're watching Kung Fu Panda (again) and after Madagascar II, have had quite a bit of laughs. I swear, Madagascar II was funny as helk.

I soooo want to see the new OO7 too!!!! :yay: But can't get anyone to go with me :guilty:

momrek06- Yes, I grew up in Brea and frequented Yorba Linda and have family in Corona which is all ablaze. I was just watching some footage of You Tube...scarry!!!!

Kathi- You are on the top of my naughty list, missy! Just cuz.

Crock pot chicken noodle soup: ((I'm this bored))

de-bone a whole cooked chicken and cut into small pieces and put in crock pot. Yes, I did this with an actual whole chicken that I needed to use up. Or just use whatever chicken meat you have. I like a little bit of dark meat in my soup, but just a little.

add low sodium chicken broth (which I add salt and pepper too :confused3 )

cut up whatever veggies you like: onion, carrots, celery...whatever

add 2 cans of cream of chicken soup and 2 cans worth of water

add parsley and one bay leaf (remove before eating), some celery salt and garlic powder

all goes into the crock pot and set on high till carrots are tender.

set on low and add HOMEMADE egg noodles to the pot. No I didn't make them, but they are those thicker, yummier noodles that are a little hard to find. Our Walmart sometimes has them. SO good!

Cook until noodles are done.

I love this in a bread bowl, which I can't have because that would be double carbs with the noodles (which I reeeeeally shouldn't have).

Reason: 9,200 is good luck, right?

9200 is definitely good luck.

That's pretty much how I make CNS, but I don't use the cream of chicken soup and I don't do it in a crock pot. Oh, and I like to use the real fine egg noodles. CNS is soooooooo good, but I haven't made any in a long, long while. Last week it was vegetable beef.....YUMMO!

No, you do not need that stuff. Just get the controllers and numchuks. If someone wants some of that stuff later, they can get it then.

Hmmm, and that helps me and Kathi how?

When I woke Saturday morning, DW and DS7 were already up and dressed and had eaten their share of the Dunkin Donuts donuts. After being up late Friday night DISing, I stumbled out into the kitchen/living room area to see what their plans were for breakfast. We decided we would just eat the donuts for breakfast and get a "real" meal for lunch at Silver Dollar City. (The truth of the matter is that the donut breakfast plan was perfectly ok with me which is odd because normally I consider eating "real breakfasts" (instead of the normal super rushed ones) to be one of the main highlights of being on vacation.) DS10, however, proclaimed he didn't like ANY of the donuts we had (not the Bavarian kreme, not the Vanilla Kreme, and not the Chocolate Kreme) so it didn't seem fair to make him go without breakfast just because the rest of us wanted a lazy donut breakfast that day. I suggested to DW that she and DS7 head to the Bayside Market (within easy walking distance there on the resort property) to get DS10 a cinnamon roll if nothing else. She bought two "jumbo gourmet" cinnamon rolls and two egg and sausage biscuit sandwiches and brought them (and DS7) back to the condo.

While DS15 and I were finishing up breakfast, the boys took their football down to the grassy area behind the condo and played around. I took some pics from the back private :woohoo: :rolleyes1 deck of the condo:

In my mind's eye, I pictured how pretty this scene must have been a few weeks earlier when the trees were all full of colored leaves...

We were all showered and dressed and had a couple of hours of free time before we needed to leave for Silver Dollar City (the park opened at 11:30 that morning so we planned on leaving at 11:00 since the drive was a whole 5 minutes). The talk turned to wanting to use the basketball court (of course -- what else would you do 267 miles from home besides the same thing you do in your own driveway at home? :confused3) so DS7, DS15, and I headed to the Wal-Mart in Branson West (second time in less than 12 hours -- I hate that but whatch gonna do) to acquire a basketball. Initially, the plan was to buy a "real" basketball that we would keep and put to good use in the future both at home and with the "little league" basketball teams that DW coaches. However, I really didn't want to pay for both a quality basketball AND an air pump and a needle to inflate said ball so we were lucky enough to find a decent enough basketball in the $4 ball bin that already had plenty of air in it (enough for two mornings of play anyway). We returned from Wal-Mart with the ball (and the ball only, believe it or not -- we ARE men/boys after all, go in, get what we want, and get out) and hit the basketball court:

I'm not sure that the move DS13 (on the left) is using to stop DS15 (left center) from grabbing the rebound is actually legal...

After I took the above pics, DW and I joined in with DS7, DS15, and I playing against DS10, DS13, and DW in some 3-on-3 action. (When we chose up teams, I told them (which means DW as well) that they were "skins". I love that joke.) After playing basketball for about an hour (I was worn out in about 30 minutes :sad2: ), we walked down to the lakeshore and boat docks right behind our condo building where DS13 "had" to go on the docks:
