I'm doin' fine, Pip!!! I'm really lethargic though, the past couple days. Not sure why. At least I"m relaxed and not stressed out! :teeth:

Steph, sorry your mom bugs. :grouphug:

This will be our first year having NO family around at Christmas (MIL died this past summer, and my parents are out West). I miss them all! :guilty:

:grouphug: That's got to be hard being without your family.

Bonnie, I was "right there" when we first moved to KY...but it is the BEST gift we have ever gotten as a family (our immediate family I mean) to have no family around...it forced us to make some kick butt traditions of our own and to focus on enjoying spending time together. Of course we miss our families and still love to visit them for the holidays (either before or after or whenever we can during the other times of the year)...but there is something oh so special about knowing that I will have my boys and my dh all to myself for Christmas! We have so much fun and our church family/friends are always inviting us if we ever get lonely.

Hi DL, Paige, Kar and Pip! What's cookin'?

I've started watching a new show and am getting addicted: Gilmore Girls. It's in its 5th season now, so I'm just watching the reruns. Heather (13) watches it with me. It's pretty cute. My new teenager show. Before it was Dawson's Creek.
My kids love that show, but it is like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. They talk too much! It just irritates me to hear them going on and on....I think I am in the minority though.

At first it bothered me, because they talk so stinkin' FAST. And they need to work on their timing. But as I started watching more of them, I think think the writing is really good. It's no Dawson's Creek, but it's entertaining. :thumbsup2

Thanks, girls, I didn't mean to sound like we can't have a good Christmas with just our family. We TOTALLY will! And it's kind of nice to be able to do what we want without worrying about other people's schedules. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Yep, my mom is getting him the staff...and he will get one of the Ang action figures in his stocking.

And yes, I would love to fly on Apa.

OKay...dh is back with the flour...so it's time to do some baking!! Then some decorating...then finally some EATING!! ;) Well, just a few! :confused3  ;) See you all later! I hope you all have a great night! :grouphug: to those who need them and a good dose of :wizard: too!! :wave2:

You are absolutely right, Bon....it is just that at this time of year there is just so much discussion from tv, newspapers, magazines, internet, etc about SPENDING TIME WITH ALL YOUR FAMILY WHEN THEY COME ON CHRISTMAS DAY....and it makes it so hard on those that do not have any family knocking on their door....been there many many times....and you get through it and make the most of it with your own loving immediate family!!!
