OK guys -- the lawyer -- He's going to put in an injunction to stop the proposed regulations. Don't know how well it'll go over, but I do know that this lawyer is very experienced and VERY good at his job. He's also going to include some other proposals that we could actually live with -- kinda like meeting them in the middle. I imagine this is something that's going to take a little while, a couple of weeks anyway, before I know anything else.

AND ALSO -- I have to go to DC on Wednesday to attend a House Subcommittee on Immigration meeting. I guess I won't be able to wear jeans to this one, huh? I've never been before a Subcommittee before. But the guy that's been invited to speak in front of them told me I MUST be there. I don't know if he's planning on having me speak as well, but just the thought makes me nervous. So, dude, if you are a secret Diser/Loser and you're reading this -- CALL ME!! I've called you twice and you need to call me back ASAP!

Ah, let's see, what else...Oh, when I left here earlier, I went to change my clothes (crabs can be kinda stinky) and started walking upstairs to my bedroom. The other day my neighbor borrowed my vacumm, I warned him it was on its last leg, DH was there and said the belt is probably ready to go again. He will fix if something happens. So neighbor takes the vacumm, gets all done and the belt breaks. So he tells me this and I say dont worry about it, DH comes out with a belt and said I wll fix it. No my neighbor insists he will go get a belt and fix it. So he does and brings it back last night, I told him he just ruined a PERFECTLY godd excuse for me NOT to vacuum.

Well, caught up on my reading....you guys must have busy because there weren't too many pages. Sunday was a bust for me....worked all day till 6:15PM then I have to take the gruesome twosome out for pizza and to see all the family so they could give them their birthday presents. My brother works in a pizza place so we all met there and had pizza, brought a cake, and got home around 8:30PM. Where they DH (who didn't want to go to the family fun function) rants and raves that the pizza I brought him was cold (he doesn't like cold pizza ) even though it was still warm and WHAT was he going to eat because he hadn't eaten ALL day and wah, wah, wah. My response was if you weren't acting like a 1 year old I would have been happy to make something else for him but now he is on his own! Your stomach is not my obligation! So I guess I'm in the dog house with him. Such is life, he'll get over it. Did a little picking up and went to bed....tiring day after a tiring Saturday.

And we start anew this AM....

re-heated pizza is awesome. Your DH is crazy on this one!

Really funny story-
We went out to eat with my husbands family(grand parents, aunts, uncles and cousins) A 4 year cousin went up to his dad to say he had to go to the bathroom. Dad gets up and the 4 yo is holding his behind. So the dad picks him up to walk him to the bathroom. The 4 yo says "RUN DAD" so they get into the bathroom, sit him on the toilet and I don't know how to put this lightly-but everything breaks loose! He gets this shocked look on his face, looks at his dad, looks behind him, looks back at his dad and says "That was awesome!" This kid is a riot!

That is a GREAT story!! I love when kids do stuff like that

I am trying to pack. Husband is sort of pouting. I got my hair fixed, no more Melrose hair. The house is at cleancom 3. Good enough for me. I did shampoo and vaccuum the carpet yesterday though. Winner Husband seemed happy about that.

I dont have the link right now, but people were all freaked out that a 9 year old rode the subway alone in NYC. Yes some 9 year olds are naive, and are a 'young' 9 and cannot do it alone. However, some are mature and can go alone. Parents should know their kids abilities. NYC is NOT the scary place everyone makes it out to be! Ill come back with a link when I find it.

I had problems before. I wanted to take a pic of my floor because someone asked about an open floor plan and having to do the kitchen in hardwood if that's what the rest of the house was. I have an open floor plan too, and was trying to show a piece of special moulding that you can lay to "seperate" the two types of floors. I had mucho problems that day also. And then after all my trouble, I got made fun of because the floor was actually clean.

I've tried numerous things to get the comp to load the pics, but nothing works. I went to the control panel, hardware, camera, and clicked get pics. Absolutely nothing would happen.

I also went to My Pictures, and clicked get pix from camera or device. Again, nothing at all would happen. And the camera was connected, because I did a diagnostics check.

I also checked the settings and tried to use different programs that the comp would use to get the pix. Still nothing.

I even used my HP Solution Center to try to get the pix and load them onto that digital imaging center thing. It acted like it was loading the pix, but the pix turned into only one completely black picture.

Something isn't working right somewhere along the line. Like I said, this happened before, but eventually, it did let me load the pix. This time, no matter how many times I try, nothing happens. Nothing. At all.

So, any advice would be appreciated. I hate this camera anyway.




Also, Denise, one of these boys is moving, which is great. But the other one is still going to be there, right? That's such a hard situation to be in. You want to protect your kid, but you don't want to deprive them of anything either. I really hope it works out.

Denise, I run a couple of Girl Scout Troops and believe me knives don't fly there. ( at least not whilst you are lookin )

Seriously, someone should contact the person above Mr. Scoutmaster and let them know there's a problem. What these boys do is NOT what scoutiing is supposed to be about and they need to be slapped down, hard!! Of course, you may lose a scoutmaster, but he sounds like a real horses @$$ anyway, I mean do you want someone without any backbone teaching your kids anyway? what kind of parent lets their kids beat on other kids and pull knives for crying out loud. Time to cull the herd too bad some people can't be bothered to teach their kids how to behave. That's just disgusting, makes me very sad...

Sorry to rant and run...hope you all are doing well and lets get more dressed up animals on here

PS: the dd's came home with, of all things, snails today, thank you daddy by the way, what do they eat??? Plus they are trying to climb out of the bowl, I hope I don't step on any in the morning, maybe the cat will eat them... Bad, bad, snail Karma for me, must wish them happiness...

Nope, not that I've ever noticed. I have about 6 usb ports, but nothing that looks like a sd card could fit into.

#1 I am still not completely convinced that you did not just put everything from the waist down up on a chair, counter, table, etc. Yes the floor was clean but the rest of the house was mysteriously left out of the picture....

Shore....if you look at the front of your computer, that would be where you would plug in the memory card direct from camera into. If your not sure, check this computer and see if it matches yours....

Sounds like you have to connect with a USB connection to the back of the camera...check and see if you have "locked" the memory card...sometimes that will give you an issue uploading or editing the pictures on the card. Should be a little slide switch thing on the mem. card.

Once again on our day to sleep in (DS10 is off and DS5 has afternoon class) and DS5 is up bright and early.

Although he was spinning around to get dizzy last night and fell and hurt his foot and now he claims it still hurts. So I will have to see how that goes.

Suppose to take DS10 to the orthodontist but another mom told me that his baby is in the NICU so he may or may not be cancelling.

I think I am going to try and get them haircuts too, all will depend on the above appt and foot.

Good morning, y'all..yesterday I was running around in shorts and a tshirt, today I am turning on the heat to warm up this house. It's probably about 50 outside...brrrr..too cold for me.

Denise, I can't believe what is going on in your scout troup. The father of this boy being the scoutmaster is like the fox guarding the henhouse, he's not going to make a big deal out of this, although it is a huge deal-AND the bullying. I would hope that at least he takes the boy's knife away for a long, long time..Is this the one that will be leaving-and the scoutmaster? Did you get any eyewitness accounting as to what was done immediately to these boys? I hope everything works out, maybe the boy left behind won't be a bully without his buddy with him..

I have lots to do today losers, and I wonder just how much will actually get done. Will check in later!

Good morning all,

dd7 decided to pull a faint on me last night as we changed her earrings because she pulled on out with a jump rope incident. Just, boom!, went down hit her head on the door jam and the tile floor. Egg size lump, race off to the doctors, they said she was fine and was probably a one time thing. I thought I was going to pass out. She laid there with her eyes opened, twitching alittle...very scary!!!

Doctor says she "fainted" and should be find, but now I will have to keep a watch over her, I couldn't believe she just fell over like that, I thought she was goofing around like she does.

So, she's home today to keep my company in my house,that again, has exploded from some inner universe all over the place. I just have tooooo much crap! ! ! ! !
