Good Morning Losers,

I hope everyone has a good day. Behave:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Morning Losers!! What a week. I see you guys have been busy, but I haven't read back to catch up. Hope you haven't been in too much trouble. Any good dessert?

Monday I was in a funk all day after a phone call I had with the MIL on Sunday. I now know better than to expect ANY sympathy from her on the fact that we live 7 hours away and I'll be making that drive at 32 weeks.

So, then on Tuesday I got a phone call (well, we had gotten a call on Sunday, so we had a heads up) that a friend of ours/a woman that works with my husband was separating from her husband and taking her 2.5 year old and 7 week old with her. We offered her if she needed a place locally to stay our door is open. Tuesday morning she called and asked if I could watch the girls while she ran some errands here in town (they live in another town in the area, and she had been with her parents in Kansas City all weekend). Of course I said yes. I managed to get the bathrooms cleaned before having to leave for lunch with a girlfriend. But I needed to vacuum BADLY!!

So, they were here Tuesday afternoon, until sometime in the middle of last night. Her DH had an epiphany last night and she decided to go home and try to work things out, which is good.

The bad news is, I didn't hear the baby either nights, and I completely slept thru them packing up and leaving in the middle of the night. Our baby might be in trouble if we're that sound of sleepers.:scared1:

So, I have a house that has been trashed with toys everywhere, floors that need vacuumed (the 2yo even told me that I need to sweep my floor while looking at the carpet in the lower level). My dog is due for her shots which I had hoped to do this week, and I need to pack because we're headed to Iowa this weekend for a wedding. OH, and we're going back tonight so that I could get my hair cut by my cousin tomorrow during the day, but she hasn't called to set up my appointment yet. I SOOO wish I could have a drink!!!

Oh, and the stupid dog got me out of bed at 6 to go out and then just stood under the overhang because it was raining!!!!

Do not worry you will wake up for your baby. I have a friend that could sleep thru anything. When she had her DD she was afaid also that she would never hear the baby. We all told her not to worry. She heard the baby everytime. You guys will also.
Glad to hear that they are trying to work things out.

Malibu my MIl was the exact same way. Her pregnancy and births were sooooo easy Blech!

And you will here the baby, trust us!

Yes let's add JJ into our :grouphug:

I hope this day is better for you JJ

Lara - Sounds like tubes might be in store for your little guy. My niece is on her 2nd set at 2.5 and the almost 5 year old nephew might be getting a 3rd or 4th set.

Shay - One lady I know had colon cancer and after her treatments when her hair came back it came back curly, so it's been known to happen.

1st, if nobody has told you thus far I will enlighten you.....DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYBODY about Their pregnancy, delivery, newborns. Well listen with a "ya, whatever" attitude because I really think the body/mind has a way of forgetting what really took place so you delusionally agree to having more children  All you will hear from the moment you say "I'm pregnant" is well when I was pregnant, delivered, had a newbord, little Billy/Amber turned __, etc And FAMILY although trying to be helpful sometimes can be the WORST offenders. Just remember that MIL brought your DH into the world and if nothing else, you can be thankful for that. Just be glad she's 7 hours away

As far as hearing the baby crying...Here's another thing you have probably heard but will never believe until after you have the baby. It really is different when it's your own. Somehow your body/mind is more aware when it's your child. Just like when you are in a playground and here a child crying...you will know it's yours screaming or not.

Morning Losers!

Boy, for a bunch of losers, we sure are early risers and early posters. I had to get up earlier than usual today because we had to get 3 people thru the shower before 7.--ugh! DD did homework last night until 10pm. Tomorrow morning she is going on a trip for school and she has to be at school at 5:45!!!:scared1: Oh dear DH?:rolleyes1 :flower3:

What she said!

When I know someone who is expecting, I give only two pieces of advice. First, sleep any time you can...if the baby's sleeping, you sleep. If you husband offers to take the baby for a while, sleep. If people come to see the baby, give them strong one on one time, give them the baby and go and take a nap. Second piece of advice, ignore everyone who tries to give you advice...you'll find your own way.

Now if you DO decide you're at the end of your rope, there are probably a lot of tips that we could give you (like putting the car seat on the washer/drier to get the kid to fall asleep and then transfer the WHOLE CAR SEAT into the crib)...but hopefully we will not be as irritating as family.

BTW...I can hear my kids any time they roll over in bed, let alone cry. You'll be fine. Tired, but fine.

Thanks guys. I think I just want more sympathy/understanding from my MIL because I lost my own mom right before I got pregnant.

You're right, she did give birth to my DH:lovestruc

(Funny story, when we first started dating she ACTUALLY told DH he was thinking with the wrong head. Little did she know 15 years later we would still be together)

Morning,

Is it time for bed yet? I'm sick of this crappy weather and so are my kids. Grrr. On a better note though, I will appreciate Hawaii so much more when I am there.

Mali,

You will get the Mom radar. We all do after our kids are born. I could pick my kids out even in the hospital nursery. Here's a hug from one mom to another. You must really be missing yours right now. Do you have a sister or anyone you can call? My sister and I are really close and sometimes she is better than my mom. Remember you always have us too. Who cares if you are behind on reading?!? Certainly NOT us. :grouphug:

JJ,

Hope you feel better too.

 I'm sorry to hear about your mother. It sounds like she raised a wonderful daughter, though, so I'm sure that you'll make a wonderful mother as well!

One thing that I've learned about MIL's, though, is not to expect anything from them. That way, when they are nice/do something nice - it's a treat, not an expected action. :lmao: (You know the expression - hope for the best, but expect the worst.)

Dorky, when are you going to Hawaii. It sounds like you're going pretty soon. We're getting ready to go to Florida (not Disney though :sad1:) on Saturday. OMG - that's the day after tomorrow!!!! Oh, no. I've got so much I need to do. Would it be wrong of me to take off work to go home and do laundry? :headache:

That sounds like our saying we have for Wal Mart: Expect Less, Don't be Disappointed. And now it applies to MILs too.

Yeah, take off work to do laundry but don't forget to DIS while you're home--a girl's gotta have priorities.

JJ--You feeling any better today?:flower3:

Dorky--Are you guys getting snow yet? We called DD's school. They are supposed to go to Wayne tomorrow for the Writer's Club, but now it's looking very iffy. I dread picking her up after school today because she's gonna be some kinda b****y if it gets cancelled. I'm also not taking her to fremont if there's snow/ice involved. Anyone want my 14yo? She's really pretty good, just moddy towarrd me and she babysits--red cross certified and everything. Anyone?

Morning Losers.
I've been up, got all kiddos & myself dressed, took #1DS to school & then sat at the car dealership for just under 2 hours so they could do the safety recall and look at my speakers (needed updated calabration :confused3 ) & wipers (couldn't get them to act up :headache: ).
Now we are home & I need to get afew things done around the house but I really want to take a nap.

Malibu I was a heavy sleeper as well. Trust me you will hear the baby!
We are having really nice weather today. I am in shorts & a tshirt & I am HOt. WOW.
I just found out that my dad is having another medical problem. Something to do w/ the electrical thing for his heart. He has to have test run on Wednesday. But the Dr told him not to drive at all until then & if he starts to feel like his heart is racing or short of breath to go immeadiately to the Er.

Morning Losers...it's 9 AM and I am waiting on breakfast to be delivered...breakfast burrito with eggs, potatos, bacon and extra cheese and no chile. Yummy.

The weather is rather craptastic today. Can I say that on the Dis? After having 70's for the past couple of weeks yesterday it didn't make it out of the 40's and it snowed in the mountains and foothills and rained in the city. It was cold...I actually had to close my bedroom window. And today isn't any better...but at least it's not drizzly outside.

Yes, you may take off work to do laundry. Aren't you feeling a little sick? I think you might have a tummy ache from all the stress.;)

I am leaving for Arizona on the 15th and I will fly with my sister on the 16th to Hawaii. We will be meeting my mom who is already out there. My mom is going to move there. We will miss having Fun Grandma so close. We will make up for it though by going to visit Fun Grandma in the summer.

We are getiing all kinds of crazy weather here. No snow yet just wind, rain, and a little bit of sleet. Lovely! :sad2: I would love to have your 14 year old come over tomorrow. I need someone to keep Mr. No Fear entertained while I clean up his room. Too bad the waterpark isn't open or I'd let her take him there and you and I could just sit in the lawnchairs and visit.

MMMMmmmm chocolate pudding - put it in a store bought graham cracker crust and add coolwhip!

It's faster to eat it right out of the bowl before someone else comes along and wants you to share...and then there is only one bowl to set in the sink for someone else to wash..

That sounds like our saying we have for Wal Mart: Expect Less, Don't be Disappointed. And now it applies to MILs too.

There's a lyric in a song by the Gin Blossoms that goes, "If you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down." :rotfl: I always thought that was sorta profound..

Malibou...The most comforting piece of advice I heard about babies was at the beginning of Dr. Spock's baby book (no I didn't read the whole thing...)He said, "Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do."

You will be surprised at what you can do/figure out for yourself.

Or you can post a thread on the CB and get ALL KINDS of helpful advice.:scared:
