Tricia  glad things went well!

Shore, um, yeah, um, with stories like yours, I wonder why Willie Don would have made those comments about the Eastern Shore :rolleyes1 :lmao: ;)

Well, home from taking the boy to he doctor. His new daycare contacted me last week to express concern about his speach delay. They also asked if he'd ever had his hearing tested. So we took him in to the pediatrician to talk about their concerns. The Pediatrician took a look and said that there's a lot of fluid in his ears...so they did this special test where they measured the pressure...normal is a large spike, abnormal is a small bump, the boy's was flat...both ears. :headache:

So now we get to give him a tone of medication, see what that does, and then take him back in a month to see if the pressures better...I would guess that if it's not our next trip will be to an ENT. This is my sick kid, so who knows how long this has been going on, he has no pain reactions to speak of.

Gosh, Lara, sorry to hear that. I hope the medication does what it's supposed to do.

It may be due to my lowered IQ from the Illegal Immigration thread but I haven't seen the Warden around lately :confused3

SHAYMARAYSMOM what have you done with the Warden? Warden if you can hear me do you need help? :rotfl:

I hope it works out well. It is hard when kids have things going on. I send:hug: to you. Nice pick up from the daycare.

Glade to see he's not caged up by some global womens plot to take over the world :lmao: .

I have more baby sitting ot do tonight. I'm taking the kids out for our graduation dinner. Darn whipper snappers managed to bump me down to 3rd in the class. I wanted that trophy too :sad1: :lmao:

RV, I'm glad things went well for him. Get to bed.

Lara, I have boys that feel no pain either. Hopefully the antibiotics will clear up the fluid.

Shay, I hope things will go well at the Dr's for you too. I have a friend who lost all her hair and it grew back curly and dark. You are not a freak.

MN, those flower pots look like Winners to me.

Shore, your family is nuts. I am still waiting on some Mexican and mom stories.

Husband is at the farm working on a race car. :woohoo:

We're home. The test went fine. In fact, DS6 slept through most of it. The tech had him lie down on the table and she started attaching the leads to his head. There were 25 of those little suckers. She told him that it wouldn't hurt and, in fact, he could go to sleep if he wanted to. As soon as she said that, he closed his eyes and was gone. I said, "I hope you were serious."

I had to wake him up so that he would be aware when they hit him with the strobe lights, but other than that he was asleep.

So, the drama of the day was when we were first leaving home. I had a flat tire. Not low, FLAT. We wound up having to cram the 3 of us in DH's truck because we didn't have time to change it. Everything is fixed now, but what a start to the day.

I am beyond exhausted, but it is done. I just have to hang on until bedtime. And bedtime will come early tonight!

Glad to know the test went as well as it could. I hope that you guys are able to figure out the problem soon. Oh, and sweet dreams tonight! Im trying to get to bed early as well.

The husband is cooking tonight:banana: :dance3:

I'm excited!

What's he makin! Something yummy I hope.

Sorry you didn't have a great day Lara. I hope his ears get better. I had a lot of ear problems as a kid, and they certainly weren't fun. Hopefully this medicine will help him.

Hey losers,
I am home from work. I have not been around to much.I am wiped out by the time I get home.
I am glad you all had a good day. We get to meet with the DRS at Dana Faber tormorrow and Friday. They will let us know what two forms of treatments we are going with.
I am going to ask them if the med the put my on is the reason my hair has now become very curly and the color is getting darker.:confused3 If it not from the meds then I am a freak:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good Luck with the doctors! I don't think you're a freak either! You just got a whole new 'do!

The great thing about practice being over at 7:40 tonight (ran late) and us getting home at 8pm....... it is bedtime for the twosome :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Hopefully he will stay asleep while I get him changed for bed.

You guys got puddin's thread closed before I even got a chance to say anything. So are y'all gonna take Kathy's advice and use your "Ignore" option on puddin'?
Ignore.gif

oh yeah, I just got back from the grocery store and I bought a box of pudding mix that I am gonna make after everyone else goes to sleep tonight so I can be sure that no one will steal it while I am in the bathroom..

Anyone want to join me for some midnight chili????:lmao:

So now I am eating the jello I made last night!

That is funny..:rotfl:

Shore Thanks for sharing the stories! You should write a book. I love that you sent the redneck book!
:rotfl2:

RV I am glad you all made it through the day. Hopefully you sleep wonderfully tonight

Shay good luck w/ the Dr's

MN I love the flower pots, might have to have DH help the boys make those.

I've been a neglectful loser lately.

In unrelated news, it looks like I need a race car to fit in better.

You are describing me!:rotfl: When I take grandkids to school I do the same thing. I can't help it. Just so you know I did not do that with my children. See what happens when you get old. You get soft.
Sorry!

We're home. The test went fine. I am beyond exhausted, but it is done. I just have to hang on until bedtime. And bedtime will come early tonight!

 for you and DS, too. We went thru all that hearing crap with DD. She has ruptured her ear drum at age 3. Good luck!

:rotfl: :rotfl: And that's why they always say to read thru the directions before starting:headache: . BTDT

Fraggle--I wish I could eat a dinner like yours. We had the ice cream social for swimming tonight (DS won most valuable swimmer in his group!:cheer2: ) and I avoided the ice crea, trying to be a good girl. Then DH got out the sour cream Rufffles when he got home and I had to have some of those:rolleyes: .

I bought DS shoes today at Kohl's--only I didn't look to see the price (I was so thrilled we found a pair that fit) until we got to the register and they were onsale for $79.99!:scared1: Even with 30% off I couldn't justify keeping them since there's only 2 months left of school and who knows how long he'll be able to wear them. At 10 he could have a growth spurt any minute. Took them back and got a cheaper pair. Then DD got upset that I wouldn't buy anything for her--I can't win.:sad2:

Night Losers!

Those flower pots are so cute...a passing winnerish moment, I hope!!

::yes:: LOVE em!

We have an appointment with the pediatric neurologist on the 23rd. We probably won't know anything before that.

Glad everything went as well as to be expected...keeping my fingers crossed for favorable results! Sucks about the flat tire! Why do things like that happen at the most inoportune time :headache:

Nope, that's for the Diva cup :rotfl:

..........I think we are going to have to start taking evaluations of ourselves to make sure we really belong here!

.................The husband is cooking tonight:banana: :dance3:

I'm excited!

:scared: That freakin thing won't go away!

Check with Linty, maybe she can add a couple columns to the spreadsheet for score keeping or isn't Shore the baseball pitch counter? Maybe she can keep track
