The longstaff Family and free dining trip report day 10

Today was lovely and hot again, we had a leisurely breakfast at pop before getting in the car and heading to the orlando premium outlets.
i love the outlets last time we were there but this time we couldn;t find much that we wanted
we did manage to buy ds some heeley's but none for dd
I decided that we should try the mall of millenia so we went there and into the only sports shop !! here we got dd some white heeley's and a new pair of trainers
I also got some yankee Candles.....as i knew Anna had been in orlano I was very surprised to see they still had stock left

We got back to pop mid-afternoon and the kids played in the pool for a bit before we got changed and headed to the yacht club for our meal tonight, on the bus I got chatting to a lady from canada who was here for a convention !! she said she had plenty of time to go into the parks as well as work

The yacht club Galley was easily the worst meal of our trip. Our server was rubbish...we never got any bread, the kids appetisers were so slow I had to ask twice, my meat was undercooked and fatty and he never offered to refill dh's beer !! it was a real shame the tip was included here cos I wouldn't have left one !!

anyway here is what we ate.

I had Galley Crab Cakes

Dh had Spinach Cheese Dip - grilled flatbread, chopped onions, tomatoes and bacon

i had the special for my Entree ...

it was supposed to be well cooked but as you can see it clearly was not !!

the kids had burger and hot dogs....no pictures needed

we both had this for dessert

Tomorrow we are at MGM ....did I ride TOT

It's a shame that you weren't impressed with your meal, but apart from that, it sounds like you had a lovely day

Great trip report so far Natalie, we were at the galley that evening but didn't see you.

I also went for the prime rib based on the servers recommendation, I asked for it medium well but it was more like rare and not very nice. I should have gone for my original choice of the sirloin steak for entree (it was delicious when we ate there in July) but decided to try the prime rib for a change.

I'm afraid I am terribly British and never like to (I know it's stupid) but really the service you had wasn't very good.

I banned the heeley's till we got home they have just about mastered them now

Shame to hear about your meal. I think cooking terms in the US are different to here. I would never have anything well done in England, but I always have to ask for it like that in the US.
