The lead contractor on the embassy project is a Kuwaiti firm, First Kuwaiti Trading & Contracting, Higgins said. There are also five U.S. subcontractors, but he would not name them for security reasons

Totally OT here, but our kitchen hot water crapped out tonight. I knew it was bad when I saw my husband grab a hammer and a heat gun and head for the basement.

One hour and a kitchen floor full of water later, and we're waiting on the plumber. Thank God for wine.

I'm sure it's Obama's fault that our pipe froze up.

Simple answer yes & Rachel I'm sorry about the pipes That stinks. On the plus side ours did not freeze up here even at 18 below this morning... heck, it was 10 below at 10am... not great for the palm tree's I envision out on my pool deck

While I haven't been posting so much, I notice that Eric Holder's nomination is going quite well. Both Hatch and Martinez are supporting him, he has indicated he will look at charging Brad Schlozman with crimes for politicizing the DOJ. The fact that a voter suppression specialist may go to jail for his actions is change we can believe in. Oh, and of course he believes Waterboarding is torture, and in any other context would be a crime if carried out by another Government, and even our soldiers have been tried and convicted in the past. Again, that sweeping agent of change....
