Yes, reservations do need to be made months in advance but the food is certianly worth the effort. There are some fantastic restaurants in Palo Alto. There's this wonderful Italian trattoria (can't think of the name of it) on University right before you reach the underpass and head to Stanford.

I think I know the one--it's been there forever, really small. My husband's family is obsessed with food so I've eaten my way around Palo Alto. Have you been to the Peninsula Creamery? I love that place--best coconut cake ever. There's a very traditional Chinese restaurant that my husband's family goes to farther south. I really hate it. They don't even have forks. I'm sorry, but I'm just a white girl and even my husband won't touch half the stuff andt his is a guy who thinks chicken feet can be a tasty snack. Anyway, when we go there, he knows to ensure my best behavior, he has to take me to the Creamery right after.
Can you tell I haven't had lunch yet?
