Funny you should send it now, as I'm virtually cracking the barley that I grew in my yard to make some nice crackers for it. Should go splendidly.

You darn hippie.

Okay, I really am going to WF right now!

Vice Presidential Handlers Lure Cheney Into Traveling Crate
WASHINGTON—A team of nine specially trained handlers have successfully lured outgoing vice president Dick Cheney into a reinforced steel traveling crate in order to transport him back to his permanent enclosure in Casper, WY, official sources reported Monday. "He's a smart one. Once he sees the crate, he gets pretty nippy, but we've learned a few tricks over the years," chief VP wrangler Ted Irving breathlessly said while applying pressure to a deep gash on his forearm. "If we break a rabbit's legs and throw it in there, he will eventually go in to finish it off. Doesn't work with dead rabbits, though. Cheney only eats what he kills." Irving said that the latest vice presidential relocation went much more smoothly than September's diplomatic trip to Georgia, which was delayed for several hours after Cheney mauled three secret service agents and escaped inside the White House walls.

Did you know that Obama will be giving people who have DVRs free Blu-Rays. Alas, I don't qualify because I don't have a DVR but I do eat alfalfa sprouts with Argula salad. :rotfl2:

yea!! Free , free, free everything will be free...
isn't that what "free at last " meant?????
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Were you in theater? My youngest DD got her bachelors in Theaters Arts..Not an easy industry to crack. She has been the stage manger for a number of off b'way productions and now has a job she loves in a wonderful NYC venue in NY, but it's tough.

Yes, I was and loved (still love) every minute of it. Theatre now is an avocation--I work with various local theatre groups when time permits. That is great news that your daughter! My daughter also wants to study theatre in college, which is fine by me!:)

She really wasn't a stage manger...I guess I got caught up in Christmas too much...lol :lmao:

I never take the time to read what I write before I post..A definate flaw. :)

DD, ( Happy birthday J!) has worked as a theater camp director, actress extra, you name it...She was on New Amsterdam (closed) and Fringe, episode three. She just loves it and everything about it! Off Broadway Stage managers make little money though. Right after she graduated we had the strike on B'way and the writers strike, so it has been a struggle. As she is the youngest and still lives at home, she has been able to feel her way around and stay focused in her field. It really is a passion. Good luck to your DD too!

Don't forget your reusable bags! :wave2:

Naturally, I did. However, I use the brown bags to recycle my junk mail. I hope I am forgiven.

That salad sounds very liberal and elitist. Good job.

Well, that's how I perceived it.

Yes, I was fortunate to make it to Chez Panisse! Now that is what we call *real* food. :thumbsup2

Lucky you. My in-laws live in Palo Alto and I keep trying to get my husband to go over to Berkely and take me there. He always has an excuse! Of course, I think now you need reservations a few months in advance. I guess I'll have to settle for In-N-Out Burger.

Yes, reservations do need to be made months in advance but the food is certianly worth the effort. There are some fantastic restaurants in Palo Alto. There's this wonderful Italian trattoria (can't think of the name of it) on University right before you reach the underpass and head to Stanford.

There's nothing wrong with a In-N-Out burger!!:thumbsup2
