I love your taste!

My decor always starts looking like that! If I posted a picture of my youngests room now ( old enough to have graduated college) I may be banned.

Dang. I leave ya'll for a minute and the conversation has gone from your Foreign-Exchange Terrorist to strollers?

Liberals.
:rolleyes1

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I meant to tell you all. My terrorist kept me up all night, but he's napping now.:)

My husband nixed the idea of co-sleeping with the terrorist.
He said there was no room..darn..In the interest of being part of the Outreach program I did bring one of these home: I will nurture it as best I can.

That's fabulous. I wil buy my terrorist one as well.

Okay, I really am going to get up and stop goofing around. I have to order food from garden grocer--anyone use that service?

The "travel systems" are the most horrible things ever! The strollers are only good for going to the mall. That's it! They are way too heavy for anything else. I think people get sucked into the marketing for them and then regret it.

Do you jog? Is that why you want that stroller? I ask because it looks really, really big and at 21 lbs it's pretty heavy. My Mac weighed less than 15 lbs.

No, I don't jog and it's actually not a jogging stroller--despite being branded a Baby Jogger. :rotfl: DH wants a stroller with "big" wheels, I want something I could steer around in a store or go for walks with. The 75-lb weight capacity was a big bonus. I didn't think it was too heavy, especially when pushing it. It's actually lighter than some other jogger types. And I can always get a cheapo little umbrella stroller for when I don't need the "big" one.

I did the last time I went to WDW. They were great and ONTIME. What I liked was I could open an account, add things, save my cart and come back to it later. It took me a few days to kind of think about what I needed and a friend of mine added some stuff too.

I liked that too. Of course there were things I forgot that my husband remembered, so that was convenient. They didn't have any slots for when I need them, but I called and they said they could do it anyway. I hope they're right--I have some demanding babies!

I have a Peg too! I love(d) it. I had the Atlantico, which they don't make anymore. It has a book fold though, so it's not nearly as travel-friendly as the Mac umbrellas.

The forecast for Orlando during our landing time tomorrow is grim. :sad2: Heavy rain and thunderstorms. :scared: I loathe flying anyway and this is about enough to send me over the edge.

We had the Italian made SISTEMA CARROZZINA without the car seat, it wasn't sold with the car seat when we had our children....

Well, it sounds like you may need to have a glass of wine before landing... They do still sell wine when flying don't they? Everytime I turn around they're cutting something else.

I love Qantas, I get all the free wine and entertainment I could want and the food is tasty too.... I love Qantas :thumbsup2 They only fly out of CA & HI to Pacific destinations though as they're international.. too bad, we need that good a carrier IMHO

Where are all you people?

I'm bored in ISS duty and you people are where exactly?

Yes...I've EVEN been sent to sit with the "bad kids" here at work.

This is the stroller we want to get:
http://babyjogger.com/cityclassicsingle.htm
It folds up soooo easily and maneuvers very well. It's $400 but it's built like a bike. The $150 travel systems in Babies R Us just suck.

...This thread is starting to sound like the "Moms to Be" thread that I'm on. Anyone want to share nursery pictures? :rotfl:

ROFL.... I like that stroller, I'd look at reviews for it, if it seems to hold up, and it reclines back, I wouldn't hesitate to spend the money on it, otherwise you'll just wind up spending money on multiple strollers that seem to break at the most inopportune time.

If we had digital cameras when my kids were born, I'd share the nursery photo's, we did pretty good both times. The kids still have the same furniture all these years later. They'll have it well into adulthood. DD has a sleigh bed and DS just has a more traditional bed, but both converted from cribs to daybed to full size or single size beds.. best investment ever.

My daughter has literally made a lounge with couch and all in her bedroom. My first apartment wasn't the size of that girls bedroom. She got lucky when we moved :worship: If you saw the closet you'd drop over, the thing is about 10x10 and it's full of clothes :rolleyes1 Although, I must give her credit, she sold all her old toys so she could pack it full, her toys, her choice!

Well ... it's not the pushing around that's the problem. It's the folding and the lifting when you travel. Getting a big, heavy stroller into a bus or tram at WDW is a PITA! And you wouldn't want to bring a cheapie stroller to WDW and you won't use the nice stroller anywhere else once the baby is about 2-3 years old. As for the 75 lb limit ... my 9-year old isn't 75 lbs yet and she only rides in a rental stroller on NYE at WDW (she passes out at 11:00 pm like clockwork).

FWIW, my neighbor bought a Trek bike trailer with a stroller attachment for her "walking" stroller. It had big wheels for easy rolling/pushing and it attached to a bike for rides.

Lifting the stroller onto a bus will be DH's job. ;) I'm not planning to go to WDW with the kidlet until she's at least 4-5, so bringing our own stroller may be optional then. For other travel, it will probably depend on the destination if we bring a stroller or do the baby-wearing thng. The 75-lb weight limit, though, is for the kid AND all the crap you stuff into the stroller. I know I didn't ride around in a stroller when I was 9. :rotfl:

Is there a different stroller you'd recommend? I'm open to suggestions! :)
