THE LIBERAL THREAD #3- No Debate Please

I thought I'd add to the thread by quoting the benevolent President George W. Bush:

"Golly, I sure didn't know the President had to make so many decisions!"

:faint:

:rotfl: They will really have to air that place (White House) out after he leaves. It's gotten stale from having him there for 8 years.

Hillary apparently said that if OBama askes her to be his VP she will...or that is some talk on the Cons thread....:confused3

As a foreigner, one fairly removed from the politics of the United States, McCain appears to have only one reason to inherit the White House:

"Dammit, it's my turn!"

I believe a backroom deal may be afoot...

I am really hoping for an Obama/Hillary ticket. I think it would be a cakewalk into the White House if we put the two of them together.

Honestly, when it comes to the "dream ticket", it could turn out to be a baggage nightmare. Too many questions and too many rumors. And too much precious time will be spent answering both.

Everything that has happened for the last 6 months will not magically go away. It will be used over and over and over again. Guaranteed.

BBC Opinion re: Clinton/Obama:

Clinton is hanging on in order to exert pressure on Obama to elect her as his number two.

Seems possible, perhaps logical.

I have to agree and way too much blood has been spilled to just turn around and say all is forgotten. It ain't going to be that easy, but to tell the truth, nothing surprises me anymore. Who knows what could happen next?:confused3

This has been the strangest election season I can recall and the finish line isn't even in sight yet.

Good to see you.

Same goes for you and thanks!

Who would have thought a few years ago that both of us would be considered the "old timers" or senior members on this site? :lmao:

I'm surprised myself to see that I survived the "spring cleaning" that occurred a while back. Maybe I shouldn't be pressing my luck though, because they might not have put away the broom yet.;)

Tip toes quietly out the door....:tiptoe:

I agree. Thanks for being brave to voice that opinion - its not a popular one among some Obama supporters.

Good to hear...I read 'round some of these here parts that some Clinton supporters might not vote for Obama even if Clinton is called upon to serve as Vice President. I still love the idea...

I think it would be a major "dis" if she is not asked to be VP - she does have more than a thousand delegates!

I don't normally like ultimatums - but its the only way I'll be voting for him right now at this moment in time......

I take it from the BBC news website that Obama has won? He's setting out plans for closer links to Israel.

Did you see McCain proposed a weekly town meeting. I think his letter read, "Dear Sen. Obama, I'm having real trouble raising money and getting anyone to listen to me. Could I get you to an event so I can get the people to listen up? Oh, and can I have ride there as well? Thanks, John."

 Hello everyone.

We've never been called evil or stupid so many times as we have in the conservative thread over the last two months.

They really do know conservatism is a failed policy after eight years, don't they?

Unfortunately for some of us, it's been by fellow Democrats.

Over the last 7 years, the housing market tanked, unemployment numbers are rising, gas is hitting record highs, the stock market's on a roller coaster ride, we're at war, the government's spending money it faster than they can print it, and phased in tax breaks for the top 1% of Americans continue to roll on without so much as an afterthought. Of course, according to to our buddies on the right, these are all simply normal occurrences in a typical economic cycle...

Psst, don't tell them that. It might force them to come up with some new ideas. Might make their heads explode. ;)
