Right?!?! I'm telling you...every once in awhile, it smells like stale cotton candy farts and Old Granddad whiskey in here.

OK... I just had to break in and say ":rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ." VERY good use of the English language, compadre. :thumbsup2

Leavin' now... :tiptoe:

To use one of LuvDukes' lines - CLEAN UP ON PAGE 19 !!

I have heard Speaker Pelosi reiterate the no "Dream ticket" a few times and frankly I think it's just a ego-driven power trip.
She currently is third in line for the Presidency and if Senator Clinton becomes Vice-President - Bye-bye Nancy.

I'm hoping the DNC puts Senator Clinton on the ticket because IMO it would be unbeatable in November.

I have seen on the Obama supporters thread a few names mentioned as a potential running mate for Senator Obama. Some are good. Some are pretty far-fetched.
Unless it's Senator Clinton, there will be no other woman considered. Why?
She is the most qualified, period.
Senator Biden - for fun, Google Joseph Biden and plaguarism and see why the DNC won't go down that road.
John Edwards - been there, done that. Attorney General is a better position for Mr Edwards.
I do like Mr. Webb from Virginia, but with the party being in an uproar, Mrs. Clinton will be a safe and logical choice.

I will be very interested in the running mate that is chosen for Senator Obama, he will have some interesting personalities in the running.

:lmao: Great line.............thanks.

I am glad y'all are posting in here again. I was starting to get concerned when you went nearly 3 weeks without a post in the Liberal Thread.

You can't give it up now........without liberals, who would us conservatives have "left" to blame when things go wrong? ;) :) We already used up Communists and Socialists......... of course this does leave Barney and the Teletubbies......

Have a nice evening (moving carefully for the door).......

Since when does Nancy Pelosi have a say so about the Democratic ticket? She needs to get back to doing whatever it is she does.

We're baaaack.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Ahhh, because she's Speaker of the House and that makes her the 2nd ranking politician in the Democratic party.

That may be and she can certainly state her opinion. But she sounds way too bossy here. The final decision is the candidates' and she is just one of many that will be putting in their two cents I'm sure.

Yep, Halliburton, Kellogg, Brown, and Root and... oh, heck the list goes on and on. Here's a link with more...

I know I'm coming into this late, but here is something I can agree with everyone on. My brother is a trucker and because of the fuel prices he fell hook, line and sinker for KBR's recruiting spiel. This was before fuel went up as much as it has now.

They really fed him some crud and he got taken in, now he is trapped in Hell to hear him talk. He makes okay money and it was his choice, but I think he was grossly misled as to the reality of the situation.

Where'd this tired old thread come from? I haven't seen it since we Obama supporters started hating Hillary supporters and vice versa. ;)

Anyone, without getting to crazy, hear anything new about Hillary getting the nod to be Obama's vice president? Would that placate some of the Hillary supporters to vote for Obama or has the Obama campaign and/or the DNC gone too far to alienate you?

It would surely placate me. ;)

This post gives me hope. Thank you.

I feel if Obama picks a women other than Hillary - you're right - she won't be as qualified - and will solidify my decision to stay at home this election (I will, under no circumstances, pull the lever (or in this case, press the button on that new fangled machine, I don't even trust to count my vote properly) for McCain).

Joe Biden was actually my first original choice - but he wouldn't take the vice presidency - he'd make a great Secretary of State though.

Edwards - like you said - been there, done that - and he was almost no help to Kerry.

Richardson - ugh. I honestly think he went back on his word to Senator Clinton - to endorse Obama.

Let's face it - Obama has an Hispanic problem - and a white (especially Senior) women problem - Hillary would help with that immediately.

I for one - am starting to despise Pelosi - and that bothers me - I was so proud when she was the first woman speaker. What has she done since?

Happy to be posting again on the liberal thread - hoping I remain so....... ;)

Pelosi as POTUS.....now that is really scary thought... may everyone live well and prosper that are in line in front of her...popcorn::

I thought I'd add to the thread by quoting the benevolent President George W. Bush:

"Golly, I sure didn't know the President had to make so many decisions!"

:faint:

He will be fondly missed...him and Cheney...NOT......:rolleyes1 :lmao:although I will miss watching him speek and thinking about what a bubble head he is....

Good to hear...I read 'round some of these here parts that some Clinton supporters might not vote for Obama even if Clinton is called upon to serve as Vice President. I still love the idea...

Glad to see the Liberal Thread is back. There will be lots to talk about in the upcoming months!!!
