Wisconsin will be the line in the sand for Hillary. She'll have to do very well there, imho.

No, I don't think so. She's not spending too much time here. I think she is concentrating on Texas and Ohio. Those are her make or break states.

I think Hillary would've made a fine president for another time. I believe, as Kennedy said, the torch has been passed. And it passed her by. Her fatal mistake was thinking her experience alone would be enough to pass muster with the voters. She painted herself into a corner.

I'm amazed that she wasn't able to shift gears and emphasize that her experience can also be a catalyst for change. Her experience has taught her which buttons she has to push, who she had to call, how to work they system for change. She didnt' do that. And she's still making the same stump speech about experience.

I'm really encouraged that Americans are willing to take a chance again. So many people are willing to roll the dice with Obama and see what happens. Considering how this country has retreated into itself, it's almost a miracle.

Soon, there will be lines for Obama's "Laying on Hands" magic.

Does that make him Oral Roberts or the antichrist? The little donnybrook with Bet and Brenda last night still has my head reeling.

DN was asking me about something similar to this and I honestly didn't know the answer. Since she's out in Ohio for school, she wanted to register there for November because she feels that "Ohio needs all the Democratic votes it can get-NJ is blue already.". If she's registered in NJ, can she register again in Ohio and vote in November there? I told her to contact the League of Women Voters in her area and they would probably be able to answer.

Opps! She can register for NOVEMBER but she has to do it 30 days before the election. There may also be a requirement for residency for 30 days before that too.

I heard an interesting comment this morning by Chris Matthews on Scarborough's MSNBC show. He felt the Hillary's fundamental error was crafting her resume like she was running for Bush's job whereas Barack is selling himself as changing job description of the POTUS. (Something like that.) It was an interesting take.

Did any one see the show? It had some funny moments. Scarborough was remote from FL and Matthews, Pat Buchanan, Mike Barnacle, and Mika ?? were in the studio. Scarborough said, "I haven't seen this many white Irish Catholics in one place since my last U2 concert!"

When all three panelists were yakking at the same time, Scarborough told Mika, "Hey, you've got to act like a grammar school nun to get these guys to speak one at a time." They were all giggling like school girs.

I love the fact that voters are coming out in droves in the primaries, but before you get overly giddy on Senator Obamas' numbers or depressed about Senator Clintons' numbers, check the delegate tally.
As of this morning, Senator Obama leads by 25 delegates with Texas,Ohio,Wisconsin,Pennsylvania and North Carolina to follow.

This is far from over.

I have been following the threads and I only have one request of you guys.
If the candidate you are supporting now does not get the nomination - DO NOT ABANDON THE PARTY!!!
I support Senator Clinton and will gladly vote for Senator Obama. I wouldn't vote for Senator McCain if he was running un-opposed.

That's a pretty accurate observation. What surprises me is that Hillary wasn't able to shift gears when she saw her "experience" angle wasn't working.

As I've said before, if the Democrats ran Mouse/Duck as the ticket, I'd vote for it.

Unlike many people who claim otherwise, I vote for the party. I believe in the old saying "you dance with the one that brung you". No Republican is going to "flip the bird" to the Republican party. When push comes to shove, they'll vote for "Strip-search Sammy Alito", more erosion of civil rights, never met a corporation they didn't like or a union they did like, etc.

I believe, in the long run, the Democrats are better for the country as a whole.

Hillary Clinton has never been a strategic thinker. Instead of enlisting allies like John Chafee and Ted Kennedy in her healthcare reform, she made enemies with her secrecy.

She might've made a good president in another time, but that time, IMO, is over. America is willing to roll the dice on a new direction. In a way, we've gone back to our roots because that's what the Founding Fathers did too. It's very encouraging to see.

I don't think Hillary or her supporters thought she would have any competition. Her budgets/plans were built around a Guiliani style campaign. Allow some loses, and the swoop in and win big later.

I don't know why the concept of momentum seems to have eluded them.

It's actually pretty important that a potential president has the ability to shift, change, and adjust to changing situations as they evolve. Waiting until things are very bad, indeed, isn't the best managerial tactic.

That is exactly why those suspects/terrorists/masterminds will now go to trial..six years later. What better excuse then that to remind everyone daily how terrified they should be? Especially if a Dem gets in..

I prefer Moose/Squirrel, but would vote for Mouse/Duck if they won the nomination. (Unless it was due to Supertoons.)
