I have trouble believing that Rush aficionados are actually going to go out and vote for Hillary.

I find the idea that Republicans are going to swing the primary one way or the other just a little more silly than GWB under the Mission Accomplished sign.

I didn't mean to imply that. Sorry.

And may I say once again - I really think we'll be unbeatable with a Clinton\Obama or an Obama\Clinton ticket.

My friend today at work said (an Obama voter) - why don't they get together - flip a coin - and who ever wins the coin toss is the Pres - the other is VP.

And this may be what the supers have in store........ ;)

I would LOVE that ticket because I really do think that they would balance each other well.

I guess it depends if he really has enough true Dittoheads that will just act on his command.

I think some of them will vote that way. Enough to swing the election? Maybe not. ......

Still - it shouldn't be allowed!!!!!

You are right-it should not be allowed. It is almost the same as ballot stuffing. However, I doubt there are significant enough numbers of these "spoilers" to do any damage.

Hehe! This is funny:

Bush Says He Lets Red Phone Go Straight to Voicemail
‘Baffled’ By Clinton Campaign Ads, President Says

President George W. Bush commented on Sen. Hillary Clinton’s controversial “red phone” campaign ads at the White House today, telling reporters, “When that red phone rings, I just let it go straight to voicemail.”

Mr. Bush rarely comments about the Democratic presidential contest, but he said that he had to speak up about Sen. Clinton’s red phone ads because he found them “so confusing.”

“If I answered the red phone every time it rang, I would never get any sleep,” Mr. Bush said. “Sometimes it starts ringing at 9 PM, and I am already tucked in by then.”

Mr. Bush said that “there’s nothing so important that it can’t wait until tomorrow, or whenever I remember to check my voicemail.”

In a rebuke of Sen. Clinton, Mr. Bush added, “If she doesn’t know about letting your calls go straight to voicemail, I don’t think she has the experience to be president.”

Campaigning in Houston, former President Bill Clinton took issue with Mr. Bush’s remarks, telling reporters, “When I get a call at 3 AM, I always pick up, if you know what I mean.”

Pressed to explain exactly what he meant, the former president said, “Three o’clock in the morning – come on! Odds are we’re talking about a booty call.”

Shortly after his “booty call” remark, the Clinton campaign said that they were revising the former president’s itinerary to focus on states that had already voted in February.

Elsewhere, Sen. John McCain released a new series of campaign ads, showing him answering a telegraph key at 3 A.M.

OMG - for a minute - I thought this was real! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

You know, I'll bet the cons are having a great laugh about us beating each other up, and possibly self destructing while at it, over whether Hillary or Barack should, or is going to get the nomination. And while we are at it, they are taking notes (we know there is at least one who visits here) and this is all going to come back and bite us on the butt come August. Our concern should be in beating the other guy. You know, the one with the 'religious' friend, who hates a large segment of other religions. Mr flip flop.
If we lose focus, we are going to be in the same place all over again.
So, stop it. Stop it now.:grouphug:

I don't understand what Democrats are worried about. The religious right makes up around 30% of the Republican base and they can't stand McCain. The neo-cons make up another good portion of the Republican base and they can't stand McCain either.

Democrats should be worried? I haven't heard anyone in the Democratic party actively campaign against anyone else the way a large segment of the Republican base does against McCain. The Republicans are laughing? :lmao:

Probably because if they don't laugh, they'll cry...

Anyone see that Mark Penn, Clinton's chief campaign strategist, came out over the weekend saying that he really doesn't have much say in her campaign? Penn described himself as “an outside message adviser with no campaign staff reporting to me.” Even though he backtracked a bit yesterday, I'm wondering where is the loyalty with some of these guys?

What a jerk. Like anyone is going to believe this CYA move.

If I were Hillary, he'd get the ax! First the scare tactic ad with a stupid message(Carville was right) and then distancing himself!? Buh bye!

Here's a wake up call. This morning I was driving my elementary kids to school minding my own business and from the seat behind me...."Excuse me, bus driver?" "Yes Vivian?" "I have a problem with the girl in the election" says Vivian. Off go the fans and blowers..."Ok Vivian, what's your problem with the girl in the election?" "She wants to be allowed to decide if it's ok for me to have a gun and that's something my Daddy and I should decide." "Vivian, how old are you?" " Six " "Do you have your own gun?" "Yep and it's only a 22 rifle for heaven's sake!" Say I, "Vivian, I think the girl in the election just wants your Daddy to write his name on a paper when he buys a gun so the police can check and make sure everyone buying a gun is a safe person to have one." Vivian says," I know, but we don't have time for that, we have too much to do." "Thanks for the info Vivian."
I can't stop thinking about Vivian and her 22. I hope her Dad has 'too much to do' to vote.

Latest polls have things tightening up. It should be quite a bumpy night. My gut feeling is that nothing will be settled today.

how do you know? there's a complete news blackout as far as the elections on the major news sites.

Gotta love the fact that Huckabee is still getting significant percentages. It's good to see that the Reps are really not "rallying" around their guy.

Looking at the money the Rep candidates are taking in so far this election season (not including Romney's little personal investment), it sure seems like the GOP is throwing a bash to which many invited guests have decided to skip.
