The Liberal Thread #2 - No Debate Please

Gotta love the fact that Huckabee is still getting significant percentages. It's good to see that the Reps are really not "rallying" around their guy.

Looking at the money the Rep candidates are taking in so far this election season (not including Romney's little personal investment), it sure seems like the GOP is throwing a bash to which many invited guests have decided to skip.

One can only hope.

Brokaw just reported that the Obama campaign has 50 new superdelegates that they're waiting to unveil...

They can't even stomach having a positive slogan for "their" guy. Just petty insults for the opposition. Typical sarcastic drivel. I hope Huckabee runs on the Conservative line. It will serve them right.

Well, all but Vermont is decided at this moment... all too close to call, which means it will probably be very close for the 3 states, if you go by the polling they do....

Hillary has won Rhode Island....

Thank god Huckabee is out of the race, no pun intended for those on the reaching right......

Preliminary delegate estimates based on vote count so far:

Clinton 185
Obama 184

I'll take it!

I heard this morning that she hinted at a combined ticket, but said obviously the top of the ticket needs to be decided first.

Honestly, I was really hoping that one of them would land a knockout blow last night and end this. I really do think it gives an advantage to McCain. It's kind of like winning the division early in hockey-while you're coasting along, resting your big players-the other teams are beating each other up, getting more injuries and more exhausted.

I would looooove a Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton ticket. Sign me up! :woohoo:

I've been saying that for a long time. It's unbeatable, her policy wonk brain and his ability to get people behind an idea.

Definitely. I can hear the righties whining 321 days from now already.

I agree 100% - I want us to be fair and get the candidate that had every vote count. But with having 2 great candidates we are also hurting ourselves in the long run. Not to mention the amount of bitterness that seems to have built up among Clinton and Obama supporters. For the most part I've stayed out of it - but when I read people say they won't for one or the other because of the primary race I just can't believe it :confused3 If you want to vote for McCain because you honestly believe he'll be a better candidate then the Dem Nominee - I understand that. But to vote for McCain because you're bitter your nominee isn't the one of your choosing - that just stupid. And that isn't a word I use very often.

JMHO.

I'm with you completely. I think it's cutting off your nose to spite your face-as my Grandmother used to say.

The most important issue is to keep GW McCain from winning.

Ya know - I'm not as worried about McCain as i would have been over Huckabee or Romney. McCain is about as moderate as you can get. I know he is doing some pandering at the moment :rolleyes1 but in truth - I've always liked the guy. In fact I voted for him in the 2000 primary and was disappointed he lost.

The biggest thing I disagree with McCain on is his stance on the war.
