So I only just discovered about this attraction today which makes me wonder if it's any good... not much on it on the internet outside of some articles, can't even find many people talking about it here, especially since it opened in December.

Has anyone been to this attraction? Is it any good?

I did it 2 weeks ago, and while I'm a huge fan of POTC, I don't need to do it again!

We went to it on a soft opening day at the beginning of December and would not do it again. It was such a waste of time. Unless you are in the middle, you can't see any of the "action" of what's going on. All you can do is just hear. From a technology point-of-view it's great. The hologram of Jack Sparrow looks so real. But that's it.

I say skip it.

I think I was anticipating something more. I had heard it was a walk-through - not sure what that means, but I was expecting it to maybe be more like Narnia or Walt, One Man's Dream. You walk into a holding area (where we were crammed in, and its dark - no effects, no nothing), then you're let into a room, not very big, where there is a large ship in front of you. There is a small show done on the ship & on the wall to the right of the ship (via projection). If you're on the left half of the room you can't see the show on the wall at all. I will say the 3D projection of Jack Sparrow on the ship is a-ma-zing! You really think he's in the room with you. This went on for maybe 10 minutes - less if I remember correctly. Then we were led out - which I thought was going into the actual attraction - but it was over!

I did it alone, so I will go on it again to take my kids, but after that probably not again.

Same for us - the entire time, we thought we were waiting in the queue for the actual attraction!

Waste of time.

Definitely do it if you are a Pirates fan. I will be doing it again in the future just to see that Johnny Depp hologram again. He looked so real! My kids weren't as impressed as I was though. They too were waiting for the attraction to begin when it was over.

Funny - I noticed today that the wait time wad 45 minutes! I would not be a happy person if I waited 45 minutes for that!! Good thing we decided to wait until crowds die down!!

When I was there a few weeks ago the wait time always said 45 minutes. We did not have to wait that long. When were getting in line, one show had just let in. Then another crowd went in, then it was our turn. we had to wait around like 1 and a half shows worth of time? It was cool, but if I had to wait for 45 minues I wouldve been more dissapoined.

I don't really see why it in at Hollywood... They should make it a pre-show for the POTC ride or something. It just seemed kinda random.

Sounds like its a "done it" don't need to do it again...TDBIASWS.:thumbsup2

We did it in November right at park opening after getting TSM fastpasses. We only waited 5 minutes and my son was chosen to hold the key during the show, which he thought was great. We enjoyed it but after doing it once, we probably wouldn't go back again unless the boys ask. I wouldn't want to wait more than 15 or 20 minutes for it. Still, it's a lot better than the Narnia attraction that used to be there.

I would agree that its a one time deal. The hologram of Sparrow was pretty awesome. I must have been the only one that knew there wasn't more of an attraction after watching the show. ;)

But it would have been nice for more!

I think for the kids cause they love the Pirates movies, I'll do it anyway, but sounds like when you enter the room we need to go to the right!;)

It's not worth the 45 minute wait we had last week... But, it's fun - if you can get in with 15 min or less wait - it's a nice break. It's just frustrating to stand in a line with absolutely nothing - not even scenes playing on the tv screens in the queue area.

We waited about 20 minutes for it - we had planned on hitting TSM one last time before park closed after Fantasmic - unfortunately TSM still had a 120 minute wait time. It was right there, and 30 minutes sounded so much more reasonable (the actual wait was closer to 20). We were way on the left side and couldn't see the screen over the boat at all. Even the adults - the kids couldn't see anything at all with tall people crammed all around them. We would have been much better off spending the extra time at the Osbourne lights.

We're big POTC fans and we loved the attraction. We went through it 3 times and will definitely do it again.

We did it last night. OK to see once, but not a big deal,if you miss it. The CM said the "show" was eight minutes. DS liked it, but now that we've seen it once, I don't need to do it again. But I didn't know Jack Sparrow was a hologram. I really thought it was a live actor. Now I may have to go back just to look closer.

As a PP said, it would be a PERFECT pre-show for POC.
