The Laundry Will Be Folded When I Finish Booking ADRs updtd 11/6Never Dones!

And what's to say I can't still have beignets on a day I sleep in? I can see it now--take the bus to DTD in the morning to shop. Then take the boaty-boat to POFQ for some beignets and then the bus to Epy-cot for some pastries in France right before my date with Trace Adkins (I mean, my Candlelight Processional dinner package).

Hmmmm. . .Maybe I should re-examine those dining reservations. . .:rolleyes1

Note to self: it is wrong to be jealous of my DIS friends...it is wrong to be jealous of my DIS friends...it is wrong...

Oh, heck, I'm jealous! That sounds DIVINE!!! :goodvibes

Citricos was one of the BEST, if not THE best dinner of my trip. Cali Grill was amazing too.

And Kona...well...Kona breakfasts are always nomtacular. ::yes::

 You just made my day, Tink! I've been back and forth about Citricos. And forth and back. My ADRs look nothing like they did originally. I've canceled some, and really looked into my heart of hearts about Yachtsman and decided I wasn't ready to give them another chance. Yet.

I traded that one for one that has never failed me at being nomtastic: Cape May.

:goodvibes If I could take you with me I would. (Except Mr. Adkins is mine).

I'm starting to think that the answer to the title of this installment is not no, but heck no.

No. I like change. I think changes keep us jumping. I think changes are divine. I think there are changes that are necessary.

Like changing underwear, for example.

Why is my topic of conversation today change?

Well, because I've been thinking (a dangerous passtime, I know).

And I am just not happy with my ADRs. I played around with them last night, and I am down to a skeleton of what I had:

Sat, Dec 18:
Citrico's dinner

Sun, Dec 19:
Kona Cafe breakfast
California Grill dinner

Mon, Dec 20:
Boma brunch
The Wave dinner (Which I am not enthralled with and really need suggestions in the MK area for dinner NOT at the Grand Floridian. Do I just do dinner at Kona?)

Tues, Dec 21:
Chefs de France date with Trace Adkins, lol

Wed, Dec 22:
Cape May Cafe dinner

Thurs, Dec 23:
Narcoossee's dinner

Fri, Dec 24:
Crystal Palace brunch

So, and the new ones:
Citricos, Kona for bkfst, Cali Grill, The Wave (again, I need a better suggestion)

I think I need early lunch or late breakfasts as well for 12/18, 12/22, 12/23, but I don't know what to choose.

12/18 I'm at HS in the am; MK in the pm

12/22 EP in the AM, AK in the pm

12/24 Full MK day. I'm thinking of Plaza this day.

So--here is what I need:

Early lunches at EP and HS; a difference choice for 12/20 other than the Wave--possibly Back to Artist Point. . .

And at some point the stress alone will have me sick of changes. I'm ready to be going through that Disney box!

Nothing wrong with change.. I had finally decided I liked my ADRs the way they were about a month ago and VOWED to not change them. Eh, well that happened last night. I decided we had to many buffets on our trip and I wanted a sit down dinner at MK but nothing that was going to take forever. So I canceled Crystal Palace and booked Liberty Tavern.

If you have never done Liberty Tree, you are in for a treat. That is one place when my family goes that we have to do every time.

I think I found some good places for the empty holes in my trip.

YAY for another solo trip!!!! I can't wait to hear all about this trip!! What great ADRs!! YUMMY!!

Hi! I'm subbing! popcorn:: I love your plans so far, and you are a great writer! You have me cracking up! I am staying at POP and trying to DxDP for the first time 2 days after you leave, so I'm very excited to read your PTR!!

Thanks! I gotta update with my updates. It's so funny to watch how everything is morphing! I only have one ADR now that I originally booked back weeks ago: Citrico's! :rotfl2:

:welcome: So glad to have another Southern Belle here with me! I absolutely love doing the DxDP in cooler weather (in warmer weather, it's the DDP all the way). Have you stayed at POP Century before? It's been a long time since I've been there, but I'm looking forward to it!

Excuse me, my Dis buddies for not properly introducing myself. As stated earlier, I am Amanda, Disney planner extraordinaire.

Here I am in June with my eldest child:

Photo1011.jpg

I'm a 36-year-old (gosh, that sounds wrong) special education teacher and autism specialist from North Carolina. I live right on the I-95 corridor, close enough to the South Carolina border, that my husband, Dan, and I both teach in SC. Our children also attend school in a SC public school (where dh teaches). This year marks my 15th year as a teacher, and I absolutely love it!

I have three children, ages 11, 9, and 8. They are realy great, extremely bright kids. We call the eldest Sweetie, our son Stinky, and the youngest Boo.

A few pictures of them mostly just being kids:

I have been married to my college sweetheart for 14 years. Dan is a great husband and excellent 8th grade math teacher. We were engaged for 3 years before we got married--he had graduated from Erskine College (GO FLEET!) and I still had some time to finish. He is a great, kind person, but more than anything a big kid at heart. . .

(He'll never live this one down)

And here all of us are together in May in Magic Kingdom:

So, that's really me, in a nutshell. It's for these guys I take my solo trips--it helps my sanity and as a result makes me a better wife, mother, and teacher.

WOOT!! Thanks for your introductions!! What great pictures of your family!!!!!

I wasn't planning to do it, had no intentions of doing it, and really didn't think it was a big deal.

And then, I'd see the pictures.

The ones I took.

Fantastic Wait Times, which really weren't even that long:

Night rides I would never dream of getting on usually

The most beautiful picture of the castle ever:

A parade the I can certainly see in the day later, but there's some magic about it at night:

Yes, I bought the ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

Now, the ADR for Cali Grill was the same night, and I just decided I'd rather do Cali Grill with my family, anywho, so I canceled it.

And I did something so unprecidented, they'll be talking about this on the babnana thread forever--I changed the dining plan to the DDP from the DxDP. And I'm left with a shell of my former reservations, but I'm happy with that. I also know there are a couple of meals I'll be paying out of pocket, but it still works out better cost wise.

Here they are:

12/18: Citrico's dinner
12/19: Plaza Late Lunch (oop)
12/20: Boma breakfast
12/21: Chef's de France candlelight processional lunch (oop)
12/22: Fulton's Dinner (oop)
12/23: Artist Point dinner
12/24: Kona breakfast

The other ADRs are being filled with nomerific CS locations:

Earl of Sandwich, Cosmic Ray's Tangierene Cafe, Sunshine Seasons, Wolfgang Puck Express, Starring Rolls Cafe. You know, even if I can't do all TS, it should not mean I don't get some nommy CS meals!

I think there are changes that are necessary.

Like changing underwear, for example.

And for that we are all thankful.

Why is my topic of conversation today change?

Well, because I've been thinking (a dangerous passtime, I know).

I'm a 36-year-old (gosh, that sounds wrong)

Yeah, I turn 31 next Thursday and I'm already saying that, however grateful I might be for every breath taken in all of that time.

There are days I feel like I was just 9. And then there are the days I feel like I'm 63. So there's that...

Love. It.

And DISer. :thumbsup2

Without giving away too much from my recent trip, let me just say that this babnanner supports this decision. With BF's trip attendance being the only caveat.

Here they are:

12/18: Citrico's dinner

After my recent foray into Citricos' dining room, this ADR couldn't come more highly recommended from yours truly. And when you check in, request a table by the show kitchen if you're so amenable.

12/19: Plaza Late Lunch (oop)

I've eaten here. Nothing that wow'ed me but no complaints. It was QUIET though, and it was just what I needed at the time.

12/20: Boma breakfast

Oh. NOM. I had AHHHHH-MA-ZING scrambled eggs here a couple of weeks ago. O.M.G. SO GOOD.

12/24: Kona breakfast

Hint, hint: I've had Tonga Toast AND the Macadamia Pancakes. What I prefer might surprise you. ::yes::

Honestly, what I missed most by having all the TS ADRs on the DxDP was some good ol' CS meals. And that impacted my week. 'Specially the end. You'll see...;)

Your ADR list is making me hungry.

And good for you on the party! Don't you just love the castle like that? I remember when Mom, Nana, and I went in December of...I think 2009, and we were in the Magic Kingdom late one night, and before we left, we just stood in that area in front of the Crystal Palace and took in the castle, all beautifully lit. We just stood and stared at it, making our memory of it, you know? It was a great moment.

And for that we are all thankful.

:thumbsup2 No more than my dh

There are days I feel like I was just 9. And then there are the days I feel like I'm 63. So there's that...

Today is one of those 63 days, let me tell you.

And DISer. :thumbsup2

Yay--a Tinkerbellarella support goes a long way!

:thumbsup2 Will do!

I'm hoping for a quiet table with a good view. This reservation is just before MVMCP, so I need some down time!

The ones with the goat cheese? I can't wait to have them!

I want my Macadamia pancakes there, because I love nutty things.

Your ADR list is making me hungry.

Sorry about that, Kat. But I cannot wait for this trip! And for me, after all of this work losing weight, I want to enjoy myself.

:cloud9: That's what I wanna see!
