So I think I left off with arriving at the super high quality Imperial Palace.
Took about 20 minutes to check in. The lobby casino is quite smokey and not fun to hang out in for 20 minutes for me.
We got to the room looked of the balcony, and filled the coolers with ice once the bell hop got there. Bell hop was really quick from the time I called the Bell Desk. Then I think it was about 1pm and we set the alarm for 4pm. At 4 we woke, me slowly I was out.
Let the drinks flow. Took turns showering and getting dressed. We hung out on the balcony checking out the pool scene. Some girls were waving at us from down below which was nice. They didn't find our room though, which was fine as we are all not single.
We finally got out the room at about 7pm and walked South. In Bally's out through Paris. Skipped the Paris buffet as it didn't sound great to one of us and the line was long. Went across the street and caught a poor view of the last 30 seconds of the Bellagio fountains. Walk down the west sidewalk and crossed to Planet Hollywood. Went to the Spice Market Buffet.
In the Spice Market line at about 9:20, seated at 9:40-50. Did the Buffet of Buffets with tax and the Total Rewards card discount is $49.99. Spice Market was great. Had Chicken and Beef Fajita mixed, last tortilla went to the lady next to me so I just had mix. Delicious. Had the lamb kabob. Delicious. Shrimp tempora. Delicious. It was all so good. Buffet closed at 10pm so the place was about half empty when we got up to leave.
Post dinner got tall drinks somewhere in the front of Planet Hollywood. $25 for an extra shot which looked to be liberally poored. $18 for a couble jack and coke. Took out drink on the road. We walked into the MGM Grand a bit. Then out the south end and across to the Tropicana and out the front of it. Crossed and went down to the luxor. We were taken lots of pictures as we went. In the Luxor got more tall drinks. Asked which has the most alcohol and got two different answers. I think it was $17 to refill the tall drinks there.
Walked out through the Excaliber and over to the New York New York. A casino so nice they named it twice. We spoke to the doormen at Cowboy Ugly(if that is still the name of thier club). Then walked out the front. Walked all the way through the new MGM City Center. That is where the girls are(no kidding) the club was emptying out it was about 4:30am.
Took a long time to walk through there as it makes a big U. But other than the people leaving the clubs it was pretty quiet that late. We were always on the shopping level and never saw and casino in there and would not be checking back the next day.
Came out and walked in front of the Bellagio. I looked back and was suprised that the Jockey Club is still on it's tiny lot overwhelmed by the City Center. It looks miniture now.
Took our time by the fountains, though at night a mostly quiet pool. One friend was laughing at some guy sleeping at the sidewalk. A few minutes later we were laughing at him for doing the same.
We saw a bunch of people gathered in a spot wher the sidewalk was bulging into the lagoon. One girl was jumping into the fountain. She was with her sisters and possibly quite young. Though as I get older it's harder for me to guess the ages of people half my age. So after some encrouragement I double dogged her and my other friend to go for a swim. Now one friend is laying nearby on the ground taking a nap. The other is swimming with this girl to the middle of the fountain. As they came back and climbed up back to the sidewalk I saw the men in white running over. 2 security guys basically held us wanting to know who was in the fountain. Surely not the dripping guys. Then a truck pulled up and took information from the two wet ones and read them a statement. They are no longer allowed on MGM property worldwide, forever. Good story to take home though.
Then we finally got back to the room at about 7am. Ugh.
Woke up at about 11 and ready to make use of our 24 hours of buffets. So we went over to the Flamingo which is almost next door, and if you enter through the alley between O'Sheas and the Flamingo, you will come in close to the Island Buffet. Not a bad lunch. Had a lot of sushi, spicy tuna, and made a mess of each piece of roll eating it with a fork. Should have grabbed the chop sticks they have in the buffet line. Also had a piece of fried chicken and some melon. Well a bunch of melon.
After lunch ready to start the day!
