The Lard Lad Big Pink Donut

IFTTTFacebook.jpg

My then 8 year old loved the donut. Asking her what she wants to do first day this time she said have a big pink donut!

Holy crap, that looks amazing! That seriously just went on my must try list right after butterbeer. And I thought the donuts at the cart by the exit to Tower of Terror were big!! (my son and I shared one of those last trip) I shudder to think at what it will cost for a donut THAT size though! LOL

(and for the record I haven't had the LL donut either, because we avoid colors and there are plenty of tasty thing to eat without needing to check ingredients*, so I'm not defending the LL other than making sure it's understood that it's a Simpsons thing)

Out of curiosity, what do you mean that you "avoid colors"?

It's a pretty good price at $4.99!

We got the sundae. I thought I would be disgusted and sick after eating it, but it was really tasty. DH, DS, and myself split it. It uses the regular size pink-frosted donut though. The soft serve ice cream was refreshing on a hot day. I have been thinking about one lately:)
Wait... there's a SUNDAE? I've never noticed that!

Dang it, now I know what I'm having for a snack next time I'm at USF!

It's really good. They use the regular size pink donut with sprinkles with soft serve ice cream on top. I think we had a choice between chocolate or vanilla soft serve.

so, did you get one of each?
chocolate and vanilla....

i'm going to have to try the other ice cream on my next visit !

I bought the donut one night on our way out thinking that the 3 of us would finish it that evening in the hotel room. We must have had too many other snacks that day, and the next, because on day 3 we still had some. It was so good though!

So good in fact that I'm getting one again this year AND the sundae! Not on the same day though. I'll get the sundae on my first day and the donut on my last day.

I need to find the picture of my DS3 and father sharing this...It was one of 3 things he clearly remembered from our Disney/Universal trip last year. I'd ask him what he remembered and it would be this exact line "fireworks, dragon(Both Fantasmic), pink donut!"

Dixonsontour. Your daughter is so cute. The donut looks so big next to her. We really enjoyed the donut. It's so good. Can't wait to get back and have another. Thank you for sharing the pictures :flower1:

Gina. LOL, I thought the donut alone was sinful. The picture of the sundae is incredible. I would hate to think what the calories are for that sundae is:D. Oh but, when we are on vacation we can walk it off :dogdance:

I think s/he means artificial food colorings. I avoid them at home, but I let it slide a bit on vacation.

I've seen a plain Krispy Kreme go all the way from being formed, into the proofer and fryer, get plain icing, past the cashier and into my mouth. So my reaction is that any donut that needs to be both oversized and covered with pink goop in order to be a "thing" is a donut that's not good enough on its own.

Sadly, KK never broke through the DD stranglehold in my neck of the woods.

I thought the same thing you did until i tried it. I was awesome. It tasted amazing. And I love kk.

Agreed. The donut is really good AND the icing is really good!

Yep......that's what we thought too......wasn't just that the icing was good, but the actual donut tasted good too!

Does anyone know where I could get a list of the ingredients? DS #2 is a huge Simpsons fan, but has a dairy allergy. Thanks!

I couldn't find a list of ingredients, but I did find a source that quoted it as being 2000 calories :faint: .

At any rate, if it turns out that he can't have it, I am sure he could enjoy a Flaming Moe instead. Its non-alcoholic *and* you get to keep the cup.

The "effect" is very fun. It was an expensive splurge but absolutely worth it for a Simpsons fan.
