Just wondering if anyone can tell me if you can go to Beaches & Cream - say in mid-afternoon - and just order the kitchen sink for the family as a mid-afternoon snack? Thanks for your help.

Hi there ~ sure you can ~ but it's more than a snack, it's an adventure! :)

Have fun

Good luck with the kitchen sink. We finished one off about a year ago when we were there. It's a lot of fun but beware...once you get down towards the bottom, it gets rather gross. It becomes a 'lovely' brown glop...still tastes good...just isn't very attractive.

Bottom line......it tastes good and is a lot of fun.....go for it!

If you get the Travel Channel. On Friday July 11 at 5PM ET. They are doing the top 10 Family Friendly Hotels in the US. They feature the Yacht and Beach Resort and more interesting Beaches and Cream. They show how a Kitchen Sink is made. This show was on this past week. I missed some of it so I'm taping it this time. They also featured Wilderness Lodge, I believe. Hope that helps. We can't wait to go there for one either!!!!!!!!

We had it in March. Our family of 4 couldn't finish it off, BUT it was a lot of fun to try!

I took 4 teenagers there for "dinner" early one evening (4'ish) and we could not clean the sink!!

We had a great time trying and would be willing to "try" again!!

Mary, Thanks for the info. I will definitely tey to catch that show. See you at the lodge in less than three weeks!! BTW, did you know they are having a DIS meet at MK July 29 at 9:30pm?

Can a KS be ordered with "light syrup" so it's not so gloppy at the end. I hope to try one someday, but I have the gloppy problem with even a banana split at DQ:D

Hey Micca.....I'm not sure 'light syrup' is the problem but you can surely ask! The problem that I see it is that you have fudge cake, pound cake, cookies, candies, melting ice cream (8 scoops), and every flavor syrup that you can think of.....not to mention a whole can of whipped cream. Unless you are an 'eating machine' and can finish it off in about 15 minutes (which I seriously doubt), the flavors are just going to blend and mix and become a mess.....I just don't see any way around it! To me, the key would be to not allow the ice cream to melt or blend with everything else and I just don't see that as being likely.

Anyway...........it's still a lot of fun and I'm glad we did it!

Ok, have to ask.. how much does the Kitchen sink cost?
What a great idea! We have never been to the boardwalk or yacht club area, and plan to visit this go round.

Well we will sign up for that one... please disregard that little weight loss banner below, LOL!

I'm looking forward to the "kitchen sink" as one of our meals, LOL!
