The Irish are going to Disneyland.

Ohw wow! I had not heard that ...where did you hear it?

It was on facebook and there's a thread about it in the California/Disneyland section of this. here I also emailed them to ask if it was true and they said it was unfortunately :(

So sad but my niece and I just decided I should bring Angel (the trip mascot) to meet Oswald but have him face the other way as if he's sulking he can't meet his friend Duffy because of Oswald :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: Yes I am a tiny bit mad :)

OMG it says ONE MONTH!!! (and so many weeks and days but I'm ignoring that bit) Excitment :cool1:

Tomorrow I can book our first breakfast. Fingers and toes crossed I get the time I want

Does that not feel good? I had a mild panic today when I realised we are leaving in 7 weeks and 4 days and I still have so much to take care of.

I hope that you got what you wanted today.

7 weeks sounds alot closer than 60 days. We still haven't booked any tours although I think we've picked everything now. I haven't been able to get the first adr yet either it. The date is up but it says no times available. I'm thinking I might not be able to get it until 4pm Irish time tomorrow as that's 8am Anaheim time.

Did you order photopass plus on your Disneyland trip before? I'm wondering how long it will take to get across the pond. Was trying to wait until closer to payday to order but thinking I need to do it soon.

Yay got my Storytellers breakfast reservation :goodvibes Koda and Kenai I'm a coming :cool1:

Yes, I have ordered this three times now. The first time was for our very brief trip in May last year and it got here super quick within a week. Earlier this year I ordered one for this year and it took about three weeks to get here. I ordered a second one on 6th September as they are only good for two weeks so I need two for the split stay and this arrived today.

I am glad that you got your reservation.

If I wait til payday to order it should have 4-5 weeks to get here. Hopefully that will be enough time for them.

I'm so happy I got the reservation I wanted. I booked for 8 because according to last years hours the park wasn't open until 10 that week last year. I'm hoping it's the same this year which gives us loads of time to eat and enjoy the characters and then wander into the park. I'm going to try book the Surf's up breakfast as well and that'll do me for adr's. Momma doesn't like them, thinks they're a waste of money or something :confused3 But I want to seem Stitch and the Brother Bear characters :)

Yes, that should be plenty. They say to allow up to 14 working days for international orders, which is three weeks.

I also went with a 8:00 reservation for our character breakfast and this is the day I am planning to do the A Walk In Walt's Footstep tour. DH feels similar about character meals that your mom, but I am lucky this year. He actually really likes the food at Surf's Up and I booked the character breakfast at Aulani for my actual birthday. He can't really object to this.

I may have not told my Momma that i have booked this yet... I might wait until closer to the trip and then just go oh i have breakfast booked for us here and here. We don't get breakfast in our hotel so we have to eat somewhere :confused3 :littleangel: :rotfl:

Eugh in decisiveness! Originally I wanted to get all non Disney stuff out of the way the first week and have the last three days as Disney, Disney, Disney. Then a two things happened to make me change my mind kind of. First the vinylmations world announced a Lilo and Scrump set and well I need Scrump. They are going to be released in November and if they are released the Friday I'm there then we will need to be at D street when it opens so our DTD day moves from Sunday to Friday fine.

But then I read on touring plans that the first week we're there last year was really low crowds so I'm wondering should we have one day at each park the first week while the crowds are low. According to touring plans the second week we're there last year the crowds were all up at like 9's instead of the 2's or 3's the first week :(

Then fantasmic is only on weekends and one of the tours we want to do is only on weekdays so Saturday needs to be a Disneyland day.

We have one magic Morning day which I think someone said we will only be able to use on certain days and if I remember right it can only be used Monday not the Tuesday which means the second "week" we're there has to be disney day, tour day, disney day.

So do I book a character breakfast tomorrow for the thursday of the first week presuming that we're going to be then going in to a park once it opens at 10 or do I chance the crowds and leave it three park days in a row. :confused3
Soooooooooo indecisive!

Also Plaza Restaurant if we want to have dinner/lunch there do we need a reservation?

I would feel inclined to break the park days up especially in light of what you have said about the crowd predictions during your second week.

For lunch and dinner, the Plaza Restaurant is counter service so no reservations required.

I think I have it sorted now.. maybe :rotfl2:

The MMH can only be used Saturday, Thursday or Tuesday so I reckon if we use it on the Saturday. Do the Holiday tour at like 2.30 on the Saturday which gets us a spot for the parade without waiting around then the Tuesday and Wednesday before we go home can both be park days :goodvibes

This sounds like a great plan. Looks like everything is falling into place.

I think your plans sound great! We LOVED Plaza Inn for the fried chicken ALONE!!! Super duper yummmmmyyyy! Just know that they will allow you to line for lunch but NOT allow you into the restaurant until 12 noon.

The family and I didn't realize who Scrimp was until I googled it! It'll look so cute as a Vinylmation!

How exciting for you! All the details in planning and reservations get to start! Have fun!

I love it. Momma has lke zero interest in planning or hearing about it until we get there but once we're there i'm like we're going here, here, here and here and she's usually happy about it. :goodvibes

The next problem to sort is the fact the super shuttle website doesn't think our hotel exists but I already mailed them and they gave me a cheaper quote than what was coming up for the general area :goodvibes

I'm thinking of doing Plaza for lunch on the saturday. I reckon the special chicken and a side salad will be enough to split between the two of us.

Scrump is Lilo's doll from Lilo and Stitch. I love him :goodvibes Lilo and Stitch is one of my favourite Disney movies. I'm really really hoping the set gets released the Friday i'm there so I can get it. :) This is a little Scrump doll I got in Paris

So marked off the to do list so far
I've booked Storytellers and Surf's Up breakfasts.. I actually booked Plaza as well because I couldn't decide but I've cancelled that now.

And after three days of attempting and failing I finally managed to book our airport taxi. I got over anxious when it kept bringing up error messages the first day so have booked it when I could get it working. First out hotel wasn't showing up (that doesn't show up on alot of sites is there something I should know? :confused3) then it wanted our flight numbers and destinations etc and kept coming up with an error message when I put these in... I figured it out eventually though lol!

This week has been super busy and tiring.

I went through the new schedule with Momma though and she says for anything she doesn't like she's going to sit in the hotel reading so if I decide to go on the Walk in Walts footsteps tour she's staying in the hotel! :lmao:

I also decided to order my photopass plus just in case it takes a while to arrive. I bought vinyls from Paris and one of them was damaged so they said send it back and two weeks later they're still claiming they haven't got it yet so if the postage between Ireland and France takes over two weeks how long will it take for photopass details to get to Ireland from America :lmao:
