The Irish are going to Disneyland.

Eugh this trip is either going to be a complete failure or the most awesome trip ever!

Today more drama because Delta airlines decided to pull our flights out of Dublin to Atlanta!

So now we're flying to JFK and then to Los Angeles instead of Orange County which is closer to Anaheim. We get to Los Angeles an hour later than we would have gotten to Orange County but the flight out of Dublin is two hours later so we don't have to be up all night before the flight... I WILL GET TO DISNEYLAND!!! :headache:

The trip will make all of this drama pale by experience.

Hopefully.... I just can't help wondering today what the third bad thing will be...

I keep getting bad things in three. We've had the almost cancelled trip, now the flights mess up. What next? :confused3

Also can't help wondering what Delta will do for people that actually just wanted to go to Atlanta i'd say the TA's had some job contacting everyone today because most times I've gone to Florida we've flown to Atlanta first as well there must be some amount of flight changes today because of it.

Found more sockies for the trip today and had to share because they're super cute:

You can't see in the picture but the white pair at the top with the one Dalmation even have little ears on them. Sooooooooo cute :goodvibes

I also found the music for feed the birds from Mary Poppins which I've been looking for for a while so spent the evening teaching myself that. It's so pretty.:lovestruc

I am sorry about the flight. That stinks. I had never really had a flight cancelled or seriously changed before. It happened for our flight at the end of this month.... very frustrating.

The socks are very cute!!!

I just thought it was slightly annoying regarding the flight especially with them waiting for 3 months before the flights to cancel them. Most airlines put up the cost of flights the closer you get to the date of the flight and for us American flights don't just go up by about 50 dollars or whatever they go up by hundreds.

That stinks about the flights, but you WILL get to DL!

I adore the socks...so very cute.

OOOH, another Kingdom Keepers fan!!! :hyper: Love those books. I am on book number 5. I hear seven is fantastic, because he took input from readers on the content! :coffee: I am try to hurry and get to book six before my cruise, since it takes place on the Dream. :thumbsup2

Yay for DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!

:cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:

I know. I was not impressed at all with the flights. Now instead of having a really long one, then a shorter flight, we have two long flights one is about an hour shorter than the other. It also makes our journey to and from the airport in California alot longer but sure once Mickey mouse is there that's all that matters. :goodvibes

They are super cute. When I was in the shop you couldn't see the one pair had ears either so when I got home and put them away with the holiday gear I was squealling with excitement when i saw that :rotfl: big baby!

I've read all of them up to book seven. Love them. I think book seven is set in Disneyland as well which is cool. Can learn something on the plane from it :goodvibes

:cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:
I'm so happy we're at double digits. Time flies once that kicks in... I need to keep watching the countdown as well though because at 60 days we can make adr's and I need to meet Koda and Kenai in Storytellers cafe.. Not want NEED!!! :rotfl:

If you had a choice between the walt tour (new tour) and the warner brothers studios tour which would you do>

Also in outlet stores (particularly Citadel) what are good shops to look for a winter everyday coat like the north face ones and prom/evening dresses for plus size peoples

Also do people know on Delta flights within America do they serve snacks. Our flight itinary only shows food being served on the flights to and from Ireland so I'm wondering should we try get snacks for the other flights.

I would always pick Walt's tour. That's just me.

The coat possibly Old Navy. I know my girls like them for jackets. I have no clue on the dresses. For that I always look at Igigi online. They have lovely plus size dresses.

I haven't flown for years but I believe that the in country flights don't serve food.

There's the Walk in Walts footsteps tour that's in park. We're still undecided about that. I don't know if it's worth the price and Momma is only interested in the pin!

There's a new tour by the Anaheim tour company out of park called the Walt tour. There's a few things stopping me booking it though first the website hasn't been updated since it was put up, I've seen no reviews and also it's very expensive!

The Warner Brothers studio tour has Harry Potter stuff I believe so might be good for a short day and then we could do pool time if the weather is warm enough.. I don't know :confused3

I got a shorter dress in Dressbarn in Florida before I think. I want a Prom/evening dress that nobody else will have for the musical awards next week (i plan ahead) :goodvibes

Bummer. We may try bring snacks I think or try get some in the airport in New York. It could be a while between the time the feed us on the first plane until we get to Anaheim

Delta does server snacks on flights. I think it was something like crackers or pretzels.

It's better than nothing. I may look up the rules of bringing stuff with you because I think in Atlanta the last time we went through there they had the adorable sniffer dogs and they were taking any meat or cheese things people had.

I made it to your TR!!! Are you really from Ireland?!?! Wow...that is sooo cool!

I have a lot to catch up on...there are 10 pages!!! :cheer2::cool1::thumbsup2

I am from Ireland. :shamrock: that's why I study so much before I go so I don't miss anything :goodvibes

Most of the trip related stuff is linked in the first post.

I finished reading about your upcoming trip! I didn't want to post again until I read everything... hmmm, I have so much to say now!:lmao:

1. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your enthusiasm and love of Disney. I particularly love the photos at your local Disney Store, especially from St. Patrick's Day & Easter!
2. It was so neat to hear about your "other" life with auditions, studies, awards, etc. Congratulations, by the way! :woohoo:
3. As said before, I'm a local. It was interesting to hear about what you wanted to do on the non-park days without a car. Hopefully, your booked tours will work out. When you've decided, I'd love to hear about your final plans. :goodvibes
4. Your PTR was like a whirlwind of emotions for me. First, I'm reading about your excitement, anticipation, plans, etc. The next moment your trip was almost CANCELLED. Seriously, I was taking a break at work and reading the posts. I think I gasped out loud. I'm soooooo happy for you that things are back on track! Whew! That was close!

Now you just have to have happy planning days ahead! :wave2:

Thanks. Disney has helped me alot dealing with anxiety and stuff in the last few years. The trips in 2010 and 11 in particular those two weeks just made me forget all the bad stuff so after that it was pretty much a refusal to go on holidays unless Mickey Mouse was there as well :rotfl:

Thanks. Music and dancing are my other biggies that help with the anxiety so I focus alot on them. Piano we've just started grade 8 and right now it's impossible but i'm not going to give up. The book is good until 2018 so if it takes that long so be it, if the pieces are ready sooner yay but i'm not doing it until I feel ready for it.

Coming from so far away we like to get the most out of the area when we're there. We have two things picked but I can't decide on the third one. There's just so much to do :goodvibes

I think most of our trips have done that at this stage we start rowing and someone goes well I'm not going then! I think this one was probably the closest to being actually cancelled then and then when the flights were cancelled I really started to think we're not meant to get there. Fingers and toes crossed nothing else goes wrong. I think another 10 days we can start making adr's and stuff though so I need to get a plan together to see what days to book character meals.

So been a while since Idid a proper update.

Life has been busy. The annual Golf Classic in memory of my brother was on and raised over 13,000 dollars for cancer charities.

As many of you who follow my trip reports know I'm big into music and do have a degree in music but haven't been using it largely as I work in a supermarket however I now have my first piano student :goodvibes
To celebrate Momma gave me my Disney ticket as well:

I also got those books ^ for the plane although I may read the hidden mickey book before I go.

I also got my first dollars for the trip today

Trip wise i'm trying to come up with a schedule before the 60 day mark so I know where I want to book the character breakfasts. So far it's looking like so:

Day 1: Fly
Day 2: Storytellers breakfast and DCA
Day 3: LA tour
Day 4: no idea?!
Day 5: Outlets
Day 6: Disneyland
Day 7: Surfs up breakfast, exploring DTD and hotels.
Day 8: DCA
Day 9: Disneyland
Day 10: Both Disney parks
Day 11: Fly

I can't decide what other tour to do. I'm trying to pick between the Walt tour which there isn't alot of info about and seems expensive, The Warner Brother Studio tour or maybe Whale Watching tour :confused3

I'm also not happy that Disney haven't released any details about the Christmas season yet not even dates of when it starts at Disneyland... I need to know to plan!

Someone sent me park maps recently as well so I now know that about 80% of what we're going to actually want to ride and see show wise is on the left side of the DCA park. DL there's alot more we'll want to do. It's funny how happy a map can make you lol :)

Congratulations on your first student. :thumbsup2

I have yet to read any of the Kingdom Keeper books; I may have to pick one up for our September trip.

So nice that mom gave you your ticket.

Maps can be a great help when planning.
