Watch out for F&W Marathon weekend and Jersey Week as those are serious crowd generators…I think I might be joining in on this club, though I'd love to hear about some of your perspectives on my potential plans! It's been so long since I've been to WDW (and heck, I even used to work in entertainment there) but SO much has changed since I've been.
At first, I was considering a stay with a friend from October 12th-22nd; now I'm wondering if late October into early November would be better (to perhaps see both sets of decorations, and maybe go to both kinds of parties?)
I've also been considering early-mid November for the cooler weather, though we’d be missing out on spooky season. My friend has never been to WDW and is happy to be going no matter when we go, but I really want to help them have a great experience!
I’d appreciate anyone’s perspectives on this, and hopefully booking opens up for everyone soon! ♥
Oh man, I'll have to take a look at those dates. While I know we'll be there for 10 nights and should have time to get the 'must-dos' done, I definitely don't want to pick dates that are known to be extra crowded. I know there's not really a 'slow' time anymore and hasn't been for a long time. Would you suggest sticking with my initial October 12th-22nd plan? Honestly, I'm not against going in early December, either. I suppose the only drawback for December would be (I assume) higher prices for airline travel. I'm pretty much open to any time between October 1st - December 23rd. (I used to work at WDW and I really don't want to experience those Christmas/New Years Eve crowds again...though I will say, watching those fireworks on Main Street was one of the best experiences of my life and made the long, busy day working worth it!)Watch out for F&W Marathon weekend and Jersey Week as those are serious crowd generators…
It’s less the best dates to go and more about what dates to avoid. Avoid F&W marathon (dates not out yet), Jersey Week, watch this year to see if this weekend is crowded for Columbus, and Thanksgiving Week. After that, pick your season! Do you want F&W? Halloween? Xmas? Holiday EP Festival? Candlelight Processional?Oh man, I'll have to take a look at those dates. Thank you so much for being so helpful! In truth, I don’t really mind what season we go — and neither does my friend, since they’re happy to go whenever. I’ve seen every season and all the decorations at Disney, but they haven’t. I know better than to think we should try and ‘cram everything’ into one trip; most importantly, I just want us to have fun (and I know we will no matter what!) I thought of late October to early November to try and give them a taste of two seasons, but it’s not a must. Early December for the weather could be awesome, but I think they’d love experiencing F&W, so that’s a bit of a con — but not a dealbreaker. It’s less the best dates to go and more about what dates to avoid. If I had to bet - it has something to do Epic Universe and trying to predict if it will +/- WDW demand.
Will soft bookings continue or will Epic Universe be such a hit it attracts large numbers to Orlando.
Ya, Epic probably has something to do with this.
I wonder if Disney thinks they might get a good bump in attendance during this time with Epic opening?
Oh, you may be right then.I agree that Epic will have an impact on Disney stuff, but doesn't that not open until summer ish? What additional data could Disney be getting about how Epic plays out before we get to even 12 months out from late '25?
