The, "I'll pose for pics & sign autographs" B-day tour! WEEERE BAAACK!!!!

I had to call Ragland via the Dining people directly yesterday because they were still saying I could not make a resie....:confused3 Then I had them get out their calendar and count days...and they were perplexed why Raglands was not showing a bookable 180 days out....

Soooo....if you ever hear something that doesn't make sense....push the envelope...I would have been soooo not happy if I did not get seating for 12 because of some stupid glitch....

Body Boarders site is set...Sat Dec 6th @ 8 p.m.....seating for 12....whose coming for drinks and dancing!!!!

Hi Dawn -

Just dropping in to say hi.... I am putting the note about Raglan Road in my calendar... My family is heading to Universal or Sea World that day, but I hope to stop over for at least a drink or two to see you all that night and wish Treyner a Happy Birthday... I'll keep you posted as our plans develop. We have our dining ressies (except for the Candlelight Processional night) already and are laying out the week. Can't wait to see you there...

Hope all is well with you and the gang...
Goof / Paula

So, I'm still pretty new to Dis and posting on people's threads, and I mostly lurk, but I just had to reply. I followed StageMomx3's link to your water slide story, and I thought that was hilarious:lmao: but your Easter story at the zoo--oh my:rotfl2: that was unbelievable. I'm only on page 5, so more to go. Your stories are too funny, and I also had a similar incident like yours on roller blades. I can't help you out on your trip questions since my last time at Disney was a long, long time ago; but I'm sure by now you have most of your itinerary already planned out.

I will be at Raglan on Saturday night! Can't wait! Great beer and even better company..what more do we need? Ok, cabana boys would be fun...:rolleyes1

And Shamu? Not a chance! My Shamu days are behind me....for good! I posted my before and after pics on our thread (p. 64 or 65)...check 'em out. Kat, Liz and I are all confirmed...still working on Lyz, Steph, and Vicki (yup, there is a good chance that they will make it as well!)

Great PTR! I just finished, and now I'm off to read your weight-loss thread. My DSIL and I are running (or planning to run, who know what will happen for sure) the 1/2 marathon in January. We are both overweight so we thought our weight would "magically" disappear while training, but that hasn't happened, so hopefully we'll be able to find some tips to helps us along on your other thread. We are not runners, or walkers, or people who exercise so we have been doing the "couch potato to 3K" training program, then hopefully do the "3K to 15K" training then onto the 1/2 marathon training.

I understand because I have been doing the couch to 5k as well...heavy on the couch not much on the 5k...:confused3 :lmao:

We have an eclectic group over there...many different types of women and men...all in different places...but all very life driven to improve not only there weight...but their life...so we talk about everything...we are in part 2 since part 1 went well...new people join all the time...

BTW..Treyner is excited about soccer in college...fell in love with Fort Lewis College in Durrango, CO...anyone been there or know people who went there???

We are off to visist a local college today...can't wait for this part of my life...being his agent...will settle down...;) unless he starts making 6 figures..then I can get paid!:smokin:

Ok, so we are now BFFs (no, you don't have a choice! :lmao: )

I started Couch to 5k in January. And like you, I was NEVER a runner. Never. Also like you, I am registered for the Disney half in January (gotta the clippie in your signature, girlfriends) thinkin that Disney would motivate to get my (then fat) a$$ in gear and run off the weight. I have made good progress with the weight loss (still have some to go) and GREAT progress with my running. Today was my long run for the week...and I, the non-runner, just ran 8 miles. And you can, too. Cause now you have me for your new BFF! :rotfl2:

Come on over to our thread in WISH and hang with us. We are awesome. Just ask us... :rolleyes1

Also, you MUST go to the C25K thread here! OMG, there are TONS of
C25k'ers here on the DIS. You will find tons of help, support, advice, and answers. Once you are up and running (yeah, I am clever), you can then join our WISH racing team. We have fast runners and slow runners and walkers. But mostly we have eachother.

Ok, I will stop typing now so you can go to the other threads. Like now. :lmao:

Hello, my new BFF:laughing:
Thanks for your words of encouragement. I am starting week 6 of the C25K program and 8 miles to me sounds really impossible, but way to go for you:woohoo: Running outside in this heat and humidity is not fun but hopefully this summer will go by fast. January seems so far away but at times so close, and I feel like I'll never be ready for the 1/2, but checking out the WISH threads and the C25K threads should help. Thanks.

OH my gosh..it less than 6 months to the trip!!! I am getting excited about this...but I am also pannicking...I am at the same weight...so I am going to join WW...me and Carsyn together...I was picking out Treyner's SR pic outfits yesterday...and want a new wardrobe for me before this trip...and to do a family pic as well...I need to get myself in gear...

Any advice here on Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado??? That is where I think Treyner would like to go the most....

Also...I will start more stories here this Sunday...I have a good one about a Christams Party that friends of mine attended...and it involves kids being were they shouldn't!! :scared1:

Late to the party as usual...but I dont think I have ever read a PTR where I laughed, cringed, shuttered, and cried (for your poor anus) all in the space of 2 minutes!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Seriously, excellent writing and I just cant wait to see how your trip turns out.

Treyner's Senior's pictures were taken last Tuesday...I snagged a couple of them....

Okay - I love the black and white cowboy one....Treyner Chesney...:lmao: and the colored pic full body in the yellow...the one in green makes me see him as a little boy still...this is just a few...will send more once we get them back...

Hello Newman...

So how is everyone's summer? Mine...soccer filled...not me but my three...

I am burnt and crispified and the smell of charcoaled skin...reminds me of Florida...which reminded me of Disney...which then led to a funny memory of a past trip..

In approx the spring of 2000..we visited the mouse,,,and the sun...and the heat..and the palm trees....

I was talking with the family walking around Yacht and Beach club...admiring the foliage...and suggested that Treyner take a pic like Gillagan...holding onto the palm tree like in a hurricaine...

This was evloving as we went...I might have encouraged a more robust picture and perhaps whined until he agreed to jump on said palm tree in favor of an action shot...and he listened...because I am the mama....and it went something like..

OUCH....

FREAKIN EH ...

OUCH...

And then I was made aware...that Palm Trees have sharp thorny objects in their bark...and removing them from Treyner was not fun...about 30 slivers as he skid down the tree...and to top it off..he was a little red..so his skin was ripped and raw...

To this day...we pass the same tree...and he never forgets to remind me that he listened to a fault when he thought he knew better...and mothers do not know everything!;)

Soooo...I have been hunting and searching and have some fun new ideas for this trip..these will be a surprise to all that come...besides me of course...

#1 Just did some research at the Dis on ICE@Gaylord Palms - LOOOVE IT! that is a for sure must go..absolutley cannot miss it extravaganza...huge ice sculptures and slides and loads of fun...why not leave Mn to go to FL and sit on ICE?:rotfl2:

#2 Make ostrich egg ornaments at the AKL

#3 Sleigh ride at WL - sounds fun but it looks like we wil need to sleighs to accomodate our group. But very innexpensive otherwise.

#4 Beach Club & GF for some gingerbread fancy fixins - (not all resort stuff is out)

And.....I think I will pay for Treyner to be a ride along on Richard Petty's driving school - he will flip out...loves the track...the rest are too young...:worship: so no worries about being made to feel bad - that will be his present from me for his 18th...

I wanted to take him for surf lessons but it looks like they wil be closed then...they said to call back - all 3 could do that...hmmm...so much to do and so little time...and ahemmm...money:rotfl:

I had thought about the cruise to see the fireworks - but for the money - I think the driving school will be more appreciated by him...plus it is cheaper...

Okay - off to soccer hell for the next week - I will get more info out when I can...

I joined WW so my stagnant ticker better start ticking...:3dglasses

Have you thought about Curves? I seem to remember reading earlier that you dont like exercise, but Curves is really fun. Its just 30 minutes 3x a week. I loved it so much when I was a member that I became an employee!! Ive been a coach there for 2.5 years now. Ggood luck to ya!
