A little OT but I was cleaning up my spare room last weekend and came across an 8 x 10 photo of me when I was 21. I can't believe how old I've gotten. I looked at that picture and thought "wow, I was pretty". Then I started crying.

I hardly ever think of my age in those kinds of terms but it really hit me when I saw that picture.

its still green here, at least the grass is, some plants, not so much.

Snowing here this morning! We have apparently had snow, freezing rain, and then snow again, so our streets are not fun. We don't do well in ice/snow.

My son's school is supposed to open two hours late, but frankly, that is still going to be bad, as it won't be above freezing by then. My work is supposed to start at 11:30, but we'll see.

So, we sort of have a snow day!

(With apologies to my northern friends who are SICK of the snow!)

Of course, the ice stinks. Drizzle came before the snow so the roads are pretty dangerous here. Austin is environmentally conscious, so no chemical de-icers. It took DH quite a bit longer to get to work this morning due to the roads, and the fact that he stopped to help out drivers who were stuck. Such a sweetie!

Glad your DH made it to work. How nice of him to help out the others!

They did finally call school off altogether. And, I just got the word that my work is officially closed all day!!! Now, we're waiting to see if my DH has to go in. Right now, they say they want him in at noon, but since the big school closed, they may change that.

I hope to post pictures later. They are no where near what our northern friends had, but to us, it's pretty cool!
