I ignored the Super Bowl yesterday.

PK, I guess you're ignoring the outcome.

It is what it is. We lost because we deserved to lose. Congrats to the Packers though. And FWIW, it was a great game. I was disappointed in many of the commercials though. What a waste of money. I found many of them to be boring and unfunny.

Ignoring that I had to go back to work today.

Kimmar -- I hope you're feeling better.

This is what my front driveway and yard looked like on Friday morning:

It actually snowed more after this picture, but no where near what some folks are getting this year.

It was in the lower 70s yesterday.

It will only be 55 today and 45 on Wednesday.

Roller coaster anyone?

What beautiful homes!! :yay:

Thanks, snap! We like our house & neighborhood. :)

How was your weekend?

Exhausting! I worried myself sick before going to NJ - I hadn't been there in 3 weeks and was so worried about the roof, pipes, etc. Everything turned out fine.:)

Then we had an appointment to have our furnace cleaned - an hour after the scheduled appointment the guy called me that he hurt his neck and had to reschedule. He was one of the main reasons we went down there this weekend :guilty:

Drove home in the pouring rain and fog Saturday night - kind of scary.

Sunday was my best day - we went to see Melissa Etheridge in American Idiot - I thought she did a great job :yay:

So, how are *you*?

Good morning all.

I wish the weekdays went by as fast as the weekends.

PK, I think the Steelers lost because I didn't want the game closely enough. Sorry I let you down. First I fell asleep, then I got on the dis....

Wow -- your weekend WAS exhausting. I'm tired just hearing about it. But, I'm glad you got to see American Idiot!

My weekend was good. We just hung out yesterday and had a family super bowl party (mainly because my younger son insists on it, lol!).

So, Pakey, it's your fault Green Bay won, huh?

OOh, I forgot the best part. Every year during the Super Bowl we make a giant turkey sub and eat the whole thing - just the two of us. It was delicious - we never eat cold cuts so it was a big treat. Honey maple turkey, provolone, mozzarella, roasted peppers, red onion, lettuce, tomato, oregano and pepper, balsamic vinegar and olive oil, peppercorn salad dressing, all on a large semolina italian bread - I feel like a whale today!! (sour pickles on the side). :woohoo::woohoo:

YUM!!! That sounds very good! There were five of us, and I made pepperoni bread, potato skins, deviled eggs, tortilla roll-ups, chips and dips, boneless wings (thank you, Tyson) and a cake with a football on it. Way too much food! :)

Yes to the whale feeling! Too much salt on my part too!

Oh, I know you have it much worse than we did. We just don't know how to act and/or drive when it does that here. Heat and humidity we have down, but not ice and snow.

Kim, cry you a river, really? You really want more precipitation coming your way?
