Good morning all! Sorry you're under the weather Snap. Hope you're back is feeling better soon.
Well we all saw how my ticker wasn't really going anywhere, so I'm going to delete it. I went back to the gym on Friday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I signed up for personal training sessions twice a week. It's expensive but I can't keep screwing around. I'm 44, 5'5" and 235 lbs. If I don't get this under control I'm going to wind up in a pine box.I'm signed up for 12 weeks' worth of personal training, 2x a week. Of course I'm going to have to work out other days as well, but I figured if someone is kicking my butt maybe it will help. So please keep me in your prayers that this time this new lifestyle sticks and I actually make some progress.
First of all, you look at least 90 pounds lighter than that, no kidding! Just be careful, I'm sitting here in pain and it's from trying to exercise - I'm sure you will be fine since you will have supervision. You sound very motivated so I think you will do great![]()
Thanks Snap. I'm always a good starter. It's keeping motivated that's my issue. The slightest bump and I'm off track. That's why I thought this might be a good idea. I don't break appointments so I'll feel obligated to go because he'll be waiting. As for hurting, um yep! Over did it yesterday. 1-1/2 hours of cardio at the gym, then went home and cleaned the house and did laundry. I'm on the second floor, laundry room is in the basement. Tonight (hopefully) I go for my first meeting. They'll tell me how old my body really is.I told him at least 112. They'll give me all kinds of tests, etc. and then set a workout schedule from that. I can do the exercise, it's the bad eating habits that will be an issue. I'd like to drop 10 lbs by the begining of July. That would be a reasonable first goal I think. Just hope I don't pick up any further injuries along the way. Right now I'm working with sciatica, knee pain and foot pain. Great starting point.

PK, good luck! I know you can do it. DH wants to loose some weight, too, but can't seem to loose any. He's been getting pretty frustrated.
Keep little R in your thoughts tomorrow, please. She will be going in for dental surgery. Her top 4 front teeth look bad and are getting crowned (white not silver, no grill for her!). She doesn't eat much, but she's quite the juice drinker. The juice isn't great for her enamel.![]()
You sound like me and Paul. It's so hard to keep pushing through the pain; but maybe it will actually improve from the exercise.![]()
