And, Pakey, I've also been concerned about your mom. I hope all is well.

Hi, everybody! Trying to keep up with all the posts, lol.

Snap -- hope your back is better.

PKsMom -- you go, girl!!!

Alpha Mom -- hope all of your letters are doing well.

Kimmar -- when do you get out of school?

Pakey -- I too hope all is well.

Hi Wick! Hope all is well with you.

So last night PK and I go to TRU to buy Just Dance and Just Dance 2. She and her best friend have been playing this game lately and they love it. And it's a great workout. Unfortunately, PK's friend kicks her butt every time, but it's her game and she plays it more. Anyway, we get the game home last night and she plays by herself for a few songs. Then I join in. And kicked her butt every single time! :rotfl2: She was none too happy with me. ;) Poor PK got her moves from her father's side of the family. :rotfl: She posted about it on FB and her friends were razzing her about it. Poor kid. DH told me I was supposed to let her win. Uh, no! She's 15 and a hundred pounds lighter than me. No way am I "letting her win". So the nightly challenge has begun. I am the secret weapon she is going to unleash on her BF. So I must practice in order to take down the other 15 y.o. I guess since PK is 15 I should be happy she doesn't have any moves. They could get her into trouble one day. :rolleyes1

Woo-Hoo!!!! Nothing wrong with kicking your 15yo daughter's bahookie in Just Dance. Good for you!

Home with Little R. She did great. Apparently, the pediasure we give her everyday is really hard on teeth. The dentist sees lots of pediasure kids with the same problem. We had no idea. She eats very little and needs the nutrients. The dentist said for her overall health, she needs it, don't stop giving it to her. I guess we just need to brush her right after she drinks it. Live and learn.

Glad everything went well. It's so hard to know what's the "right" thing to do sometimes.

Citicard is having a presale @ 10 for Toby Keith tickets - I'll be online trying to get good seats - be back later! :yay::yay:

My niece Daniela needed 4 root canals last month, it happens. Hope she is not in any pain

Hi guys. I haven't been around much because I'm working 80 hour weeks right now and we are going down, down, down. I just keep telling myself it's only two months at this pace and then I can back off a bit.

I am doing fine, my mom is doing fine. Thanks for asking. My parents are 77 and 80 now so everytime I see them, I can see the deterioration. My mom is on oxygen full time now; I see my future when I see her and I hate it. She also has emphysema, more advanced than mine. But someday that will be me, if the cancer doesn't kill me first. :rotfl:

PK, how many days until you leave? I had considered doing a last minute trip to that same resort with a girlfriend but the place is booked solid except for the grand puba suite at $10,000 for 5 days. Um, no thank you. My friend lives on the east coast and we are trying to figure out a place to go that isn't horrible travel for either of us. We are not having any luck. We usually go to Las Vegas but she's relocating there in a few months so it seems ridiculous to vacation there.

Snap, congrats on the good concert seats. No comment on it being Toby Keith. :scared1:

 Congrats on the seats, Snap!

Pakey, 80 hour weeks! Take care of yourself.

I'm jealous of all those with vacations. We are not having a big one this year. Just Texas stuff. We're going to the inlaws this weekend to celebrate C's birthday with them. MIL arranged for him to get a one-on-one tour of a B-17 (I think that one) with a colonel. He's excited. He plans on asking about a self destruct button. :rotfl2:

Back to dental stuff. I mentioned before that I hadn't been in over 12 years, well, I finally went. Not nearly as bad as I thought. I need my wisdom teeth out, which I knew, a root canal, and 2 crowns. Not bad for not having gone in that long. I plan on doing it all in one day while my mom watches the kids for us. I'll be pretty sore, I'm sure, but at least it will all be done. My teeth ate away at the vacation budget. :guilty:

Pakey, glad to hear you're all doing well. My grandmother had emphysema for years and years and didn't need oxygen until the very end, but she had a host of other medical problems too. Somehow she was always able to come off the vent and breath on her own. She did do breathing treatments each day and that seemed to help. Please don't think you're destined for a 24/7 oxygen mask.

Had to do a ticker to see how long before vacation. I was looking online last night at the resort availability too. A poster on a thread a started about Beaches mentioned their room had a moldy/musty smell so they asked to be moved. As you said, except for the creme de la creme, the resort is sold out. Hope we don't have any issues because PK has asthma and I can't stay in a room with her like that. :sad2: Since I never travel anywhere I don't have any suggestions. We were also looking at The Atlantis in the Bahamas but a friend who goes there frequently told me the other day that the prices are through the roof this year. Hope you find somewhere for your girls trip. You need it after 80+ hour work weeks.

Snap, congrats on your great seats! :dance3::yay:

Alpha, I'm sorry about your dental issues. I don't know that they'll be able to do a root canal all in one day. I was always told it took 2-3 visits (sometimes more -- like mine did). I can't imagine having all that work done in one day. And I can't believe your dentist agreed to it. Please think about breaking it down into more visits. I know it can't be easy finding a sitter for the Consonents, but there has to be a better way.

Pakey you are working way too hard, please slow down and take care of yourself!

AlphaMom, make sure you ask for drugs in a to go cup!!!

PK, are you getting really excited??

Hi Wick!!! Hi Kim!! Hi ScotLass!! (hope I'm not missing anyone) Oh, hi GP!!

Not really excited yet. This is my doom and gloom phase. I always get freaked out that something will go wrong and spoil my vacation. ;) Still worried about 2 teens and 2 moms being able to get along in one room too, but it's a done deal. We'll have to make it work. And I've been hearing the airport can be a mad house. I'll just have to pack my patience (and maybe some alcohol).

The permanent crowns will have to be placed at another visit. Guess I should have mentioned that. I'll have the cleaning, root canal, teeth pulled and fitted for the crowns in one day. I'll be moved around between 3 dentist/hygenists. I think I'm up to it. It really is a pain to find someone to sit with all the kids which is why I put it off so long. Everyone we know works. DH gets very few days off and gets paid only for what he has accomplished. The volume of work determines how easy it is for him to leave or not. That's the reason I take all 6 with me almost everywhere I go. DH went into work late yesterday so I could take R by herself and now he has to work late tonight and probably tomorrow. I told the kids we'll have pudding for dinner the night I go. No way I'm cooking!

Sending you all the pixie dust, prayers, good wishes, good vibes....that I can muster. You are quite the trooper. As for dinner, I hear S makes a mean meal and dessert! Although I'm sure they'll all be pleased as punch to have pudding for dinner. I know I would! ;)
