The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

Hello everyone! :wave2:

Thanks for all the well wishes! I did manage to get out of hospital at 4pm on Christmas day, so I missed out on the big lunch, but that was ok, because my appetite was still recovering. I still feel like I've missed Christmas a bit, but the way the past few years have been going I'm sure I'll blink and it will be here again any way! :rotfl:

I think the D in DH, DD etc. stands for Disney, but DH is certain I'm calling him d*ckhead when I write it :lmao:

I went with said DH to Les Mis the other day too, I have to say that there goes 3 hours of my life that I'll never get back... :rotfl2: I never saw the play, but I was hoping that movie adaptation would be closer to a Rogers and Hammerstein movie, and to find that it was literally all just singing was very disapointing. I felt that there was no character building and therefore didn't care much when someone died... That is of course just my uncultured opinion, DH loved it, and his entire family thought it was amazing... I personally wanted to go see Wreck it Ralph... :lmao: However Sasha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter where awesome as always.

BecBennett-glad you made it home late on Xmas Day and didn't totally miss all of Xmas and hope you recover quickly. I never liked Les Mis the musical -just too sad for me so not rushing to see the movie and if its all singing that's me out. My DD however, would probably love that. We did however LOVE the Hobbit-if you are a fan of LOR then see it on the big screen-if you don't like LOR then don't. Enjoyed trying to spot all our fave actors behind the make-up.

God morning all.

So DS isn't heading to vacation care today, I got out of the shower and he's throwing up in the toilet

Great :worried:

This work nonsense is getting in the way of my sitting at home and doing nothing... :headache:

Is it too early to start a PTR for our next trip in May 2014?
It might make it seem closer :lmao:

I started my October 2013 about 15 months out from the trip. I see NOTHING wrong with this. Perfectly normal to me. :rolleyes1

DH went to have his work medical today and the doctor, who was overweight, told DH he needed to lose 10kg. DH replied last time he weighed that goal weight he was a teenager! BMI isn't a great measure of weight I think. The doctor also weighed him in his work clothes and steel capped boots etc.

Yeah it's hard to take advice from someone who doesn't practice what they preach...

The only good thing about the Country Music Festival :thumbsup2

Just a whinge-worked from 7am til 5pm and its Sat today because of receiving documentation and data I needed to finalise a major report for Monday really late from academics. SIGH! I don't normally charge to overtime but this follows a 5 day very long hours week so tempting to see if I can. Roll on holiday!!

Wendy that's not a good Saturday! Particularly as it was quite nice weather and after last weekend we needed it!! Hope you did charge the overtime - extra spending money for holidays!!! :thumbsup2
