Oh that is SO annoying! Bad karma to her! Someone stole my good sunglasses at Taronga Zoo once, from right under my nose (had taken them off and put them down beside me! Spent the whole day looking at people to see if they were wearing them. I'd bought them in the states for such a cheap price (about $150) and they were for sale in myer for $650  I was FURIOUS!
So I know how you feel!

Anyway will North Face ship here? There is a really great store in the US called Backcountry.com I have bought lots of jackets, winter wear, even boots from there before. But they wouldn't ship the North Face things here as they weren't allowed apparently by the company. I would get them shipped to a friend in the US, then shipped to me. But they seemed to ship all other brands here, just not the North Face.

Anyway I hope you find a new, reasonably priced jacket :goodvibes

So, was having a good day, went to DFO got DS a new pair of shoes, reduced from $60 to $45 to $25 then to $15, very cute green Chuck Taylors.
Then onto Provincial for a look, found a nice decorative Conch for one of the bathrooms, have my eye on some pics to match.
Then onto Royal Doulton for a nice aromatherapy room smelly thingo, bargain.

Then head to BigW near home, run in and get card and wrapping paper for my nephew, come out get in the car, get home, get out of the car and notice somebody has hit my car AGAIN! and left.

I go back to the shops and speak to a security guard (bad language barrier :rolleyes2) who says he'll check the camera for anything and get back to me.
He rings me back and says all I can see is you walking around the car park looking at other cars, um thats when I returned the second time to see if I could see any cars with my paint smeared over the front of their car.
I ring him back and clarify the time and he tells me he was looking at footage from when I was speaking to him, but what I needed was about 20 minutes earlier, I think they'll be able to get something though if they got it from when I was there the second time.

I'm probably going to need a new bumber bar, so am thinking before I leave my expensive insurance company i'm going to claim it, but the shopping centre won't tell me anything because of privacy so I may have to get them to earn their money and go after the person if they can make out a number plate. Pretty sure thats what we're paying for, am I right or not? I've never made a claim so am not 100% that this is how it works.

So now have the front and the back to fix, both shopping centre dents where people have just left, my car is not even 2 years old yet, people just have no respect for other peoples stuff :sad1:

I am mad!

So sorry to read this. :grouphug:

Oh wow Bec, so sorry about your car

I know it's just a piece of metal, it can be fixed. But from someone who was without their car last week due to it being repaired after being collected by someone, I know how frustrating and annoying it is! It's being without the car, having to go through the hassle of dealing with an insurance company, and if the other person responsible doesn't pay, then being out of pocket for the excess is really annoying!

Bad Karma to the person who hit it and didn't bother to leave a note!

Thanks ladies, I appreciate the thoughts, I know it's only a car, but it's probably the only brand new car my DH and I will ever own (paid cash for, it's all ours :sad1:).

What I don't get is it's a car, you can see it! It is within your power to not hit it!

I hope they get some camera footage, i'm not holding my breath though :headache:

I hope they find footage as well so that you can get some satisfaction and closure.

Karen, I just received an email from Backcountry.com and they have up to 40% off the north face at the moment (if they send to Australia now)

That sucks. I hope you get their number plate.

The insurance company will be responsible for chasing them up, but you'll still need to pay excess. They will probably decide whether it's worth chasing up once they find out how much it's going to cost them.

ETA - Give them a call and check with them - you might be required to report it to the police to get an event number.

I am mad!

hubby has experience in these things...

so
1.contact the police and request them to request tape, they only hold onto video footage for 2 weeks so be quick
2.the police can request and view tape, then give you the information
3.you give info to insurance with police report, they will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident etc.

ring the centre manager and ask to talk to the facilities manager.:thumbsup2

hope this helps

I just saw an ad for The Disneyland Resort :cloud9:

i saw a few the other night too. i think with the introduction of cars land, they are ramping up the advertising here, finally realising that we are prepared to spend $$$ to get there and enjoy the magic.

i'm home alone tonight. carlo is off interstate with the relatives. not sure how i feel about having the place to myself :(

they were saying all fast passes were gone by 9.20am
if you got a pass at 9.10am it was for 7pm

some people stood for 4.5 hrs in the stand by line...are you folks kidding me:sad2::sad2::sad2:

so plot, scheme and push to get to the machine just after opening or in emh:idea:
