The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

:lmao:

Wooooowwwww. He's that far into the doghouse? :rotfl:

:lmao: No. he just forgot. After everything else he has been doing, Ill give him that. PLUS.. When I waddled all painfully into the bed room to give him his dinner, and told him how SORE I was.. and how everything HURT on me.. and then mention that I had done the dishes and cleaned the kitchen, he felt REALLY bad. :lmao:

We went to Walmart today.. and they were setting out thier Christmas stuff. You know.. We have never had a Christmas tree before?? This year we are going to get the biggest one we can fit in our house. :lmao:

Awww, cool! I love Christmas trees. We've always had one, I think, even when we were first married and living in a tiny apartment. We always get a real tree, though I think one year we had a living tree instead of a cut one. Love the smell! :lovestruc

We have never spent Christmas at home. But this year we are. I hate the smell of real ones. :lmao:

That is the one thing about the tree that I hate, stringing the lights. DH used to do it when we first got a tree, but he didn't do it the way I wanted! He would put all the lights on the outer edge of the tree, so the wires would be obvious, and he'd go right from the end of one branch to the end of another.

So after letting it drive me nuts the first year, I've done it since then. I place the lights to hide the wire as much as possible, and place them all along the branch so the tree has some 'depth' to it, if you know what I mean.

I love seeing ornaments my mom gave me from my childhood, ornaments DH's mom gave him from his childhood, and ornaments we've bought through our marriage. We used to have a tradition of getting a new ornament every year, but we wound up with so many ornaments that we now can't fit them all on the tree. :rotfl:

For better or worse, DS4 has helped with the too-many-ornaments problem by breaking quite a few of them. :lmao:

Yep. That is why I want to get one that already has lights on it. :lmao: I KNOW he wont do it the way I want.. and I am going to be way to unstable to be trying to string lights myself by the time we get a tree up.

Oh my. :lmao: We worried about Alex his first Christmas.. But he only broke one. ;) Mikalah never cared before. About the ornaments, that is.. She just wanted to eat all the candy canes off it. Between her and Alex... They did. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yeah, the first few years with DS8, I was right on top of him, reminding him, "No touch!" He did pretty well.

With DS4, not so much. He just couldn't NOT touch, you know? It was insane! And once he figured out the candy canes were edible... That was all she wrote. I was picking the dang pieces of candy out of the carpet and worried about the cat trying to eat the candy or wrapper and getting sick... It was a huge mess, so I stopped putting the candy canes on the tree. I'll try that again in a few years.

Ugh, I feel like I slept the day away. :sad2: I fell asleep after I took my meds this afternoon and then woke up at 8:30pm! Then I showered and just threw in a huge batch of laundry into the washing machine.

I am hoping I can return to work tomorrow. I wanted to go to work today and my co-worker said I should stay home and rest. I was also afraid of spreading my germs to them. :scared:

Oh crap! I have a load of laundry I need to move to the dryer! :lmao:

Hey, pix! How are you feeling?

Hi Alex! How was your day?

I'm feeling a little better but this morning I felt like crap. I also dragged myself out of bed to pick up my little sister to take her to school. Well my aunt forgot to tell me that she had asked one of my sister's classmate's mom to pick her up. :headache:
