Hi Alex! How was your day?

I ran a few errrands this morning, then when DS4 got out of school we ran to Osh Kosh B'Gosh to get him some new pants. He has about 3 pair that fit, all the 3Ts are way too short now.

So incredibly I found 4 pair of 4 Slim jeans, I was so happy! Got in line but had to wait awhile, and while I was waiting (and trying to keep DS4 from emptying the sunglass rack nearby, urg!) I realized the closure on all the jeans is a button. DS8 can't work them, and DS4 definitely won't be able to, so that wasn't going to work.

Since I was in a pinch, this evening when I ran DS8 to his computer class, Ds4 and I went to Fred Meyer (local grocery/department store) to look through the boys' section. They had Levis on sale (about $16/pair) and an off brand (Kids Corner, I think it's called) for $12/pair, so I got two of each. Carters long-sleeve tees were on sale, so I got two cute ones, and he fell in love with a navy hoodie with a tone-on-tone print and a HUGE appliqued dinosaur on the front, so I couldn't resist that. Oh, and the Carters jammies were on sale, too (and so cute!), so I got two sets of those.

I didn't intend to buy so much, OUCH! So when we got home and tried on the pants, turns out the Levis are a bit big in the waist (but usable), but the cheapo brand are TOO SHORT!

So I have to return those.

Ugh... I am SO freaking stressed out right now. We HAVE to find a bigger place. But it isnt going to happen over night. I HATE the idea of renting a house. I always have, and so has Frelan. He wants to try to buy a house.. I would LOVE to, but guess what?? Unless we win the lottery, I just dont see that happening. I really dont. With all this financial stuff going on right now, the odds that we can get a loan, are really small. We also dont exactly have anything to put down. Unless Grandma gives us our inheritance early.. I think we are just boned right now.

So what do we do? Just move into a 3 bedroom here? Bide our time for a while?? WHAT??? Ugh. It really is tying me in knots.

Well, at least now he'll have 5 pair of pants he can wear... I know I have more (DS8's hand-me-downs), we just have to dig them out of storage. So guess that will be this weekend.

Do you need a bigger place right away? Or can it wait until the babies are mobile? Maybe you have more time than you think, and don't need to rush into a decision just yet.

Well... A good question to ask the landlord then. That will give you your answer as to how fast you need to decide.

At the last place we lived (2 bedrooms 800 sq feet) , the manager allowed a family with 2 older children to stay until their twins were a year old. It was mega crowded, but they managed well and saved up money to rent a house.

Depends on how picky the owner /management is about family size. We got turned down by several places here with a family of 4 in a two bedoom.. they only wanted three people. Oddly enough, those apts were more sq footage than where we live now.

I see Alison is hooked on coupons again. And yes, try not to go negative.. especially at Walgreen's They can be down right nasty to couponers!
hmm, I will have to ask when you are on again if you have the internet printables for the Scrubbing Bubbles and a bunch of other products.. high value so free after coupon!

I think there is a rebate on the Pert + , I don't have it but noticed someone was trading it out on one of my groups. ohhh and you need to do the Walgreen's free after rebate items for the month
You get an extra % back if you choose GC, which you use to buy the next month's rebate items.. keep rolling it from month to month.

Alright coupon queens I have 6 disposable cameras to develop. I was going to take them to Costco to get them done. I thought I should check with the deal experts here. Anyone know any good deals now? I havent checked the budget board. Might do that this evening after I get back from dance.

Awww, cool! I love Christmas trees. We've always had one, I think, even when we were first married and living in a tiny apartment. We always get a real tree, though I think one year we had a living tree instead of a cut one. Love the smell!

Live trees make me sick, started when I was an infant. Can't stand Pinesol smell either. I was always sickly on cleaning nights when I lived in a dorm, we used a pine scented cleaner.

Lots of apartments don't allow live trees. They don't want the mess when people take them out to the trash and they fill up the dumpsters quickly.

I have LOTS of fake trees of various sizes... gotta love Target 90% off

AND they make plastic ornament balls that look beautiful! Dollar Tree is great for holiday decorations. When the plastic balls first came out they looked tacky, they have got better over the years. I actually prefer them over glass ones now. Besides, my cat is obsessed with knocking them off the tree.

hmm, looking at Slickdeals, they have an ad scan for the coming week. I see Walgreen's will have a coupon for 25% off developing for 10-19 to 10-25. It's one of those "limit one" type..

Otherwise I know it was cheap to process at Sam's Club or Walmart.. but this was during the days of yore... before digital prints. Lots of places have switched to digital only.

Costco is likely cheaper.. not much help but hey it was fun for me to look.

Yes Bernice I got the printable Scrubbing Bubbles Coupon. Also got my free Pert. Walgreens sale price $2.50, less their $1.50 coupon, less my $1.00 coupon.

I tell you some of those ladies on AFC are downright crazy, I like a deal and everything, but getting 30 bottles of Pert Plus free is a bit much. I think it's great that they donate a lot of the stuff to shelter's or food banks though.

Tomorrow I am going to Albertson's they are having a huge mega sale, bunch of Betty Crocker, General Mills, etc...stuff that is either $1, $1.50 or $2 if you buy at least 10. I have coupons for nearly everything. So I'm looking to get a bunch of items free or nearly free!
