What DIS forum did you venture from? I'm guessing (since I haven't seen your screen name on the DL forum) you are a WDW fan? Several of the folks on this thread have been to WDW as well, in fact one is a former CM and just returned from a family trip yesterday.

Ages vary. I think the youngest is in her early 20s, several girls in later 20s and early 30s, and a handful ranging from 37ish to somewhere in the early 50s, I think.

Most of us are married with children; several of the younger girls are in long-term relationships but not married nor having children. One gal has young grandchildren.

I mostly post on the TB [Teen Board], but sometimes i will post on the UK boards.

Pixie Hollow: The magical realm of Pixie Hollow appears in Disneyland on Tuesday, October 28. Entering along a pathway with an enchanted pool, between the entrances of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, guests are gradually immersed into the community of fairies. Guests will get the strange feeling that they are shrinking to fairy size as they encounter statues of Tinker Bell and her friends, and spot other evidence of the pixies’ presence. When guests arrive at Tinker Bell’s home, they will meet some of the pixies in person.

Blue Sky Cellar: For those who want to stay in-the-know about the expansion of Disney’s California Adventure park, a preview center opens Monday, October 20 at the Golden Vine Winery in Disney’s California Adventure. The Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar – named for the Imagineers’ ‘blue sky’ creative process – displays never-before-seen models and art outlining the concepts and design for the park’s coming attractions, along with a video presentation. The showcase will be updated regularly so that fans can stay abreast of developments.

Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough: Sleeping Beauty Castle, a beloved Disneyland landmark since the park’s debut in 1955, will open a “reawakened” version of its classic Castle walkthrough in time for the December holiday season. The new scenes inside the corridors tell the Sleeping Beauty story with modern special effects technology that recreates the look of the original Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough of the 1950s through the 1970s.

I'm trying to picture where the Pixie Hollow is located, do they mean the little water paths that are themed to Ariel?

New Way to Pay for Annual Passes at Disneyland
Southern California residents will be able to finance their Disneyland Annual Passes over 12 months, beginning November 4, 2008 (for new Annual Passholders) and January 1, 2009 (for renewals). To participate, Passholders will be required to make a deposit equivalent to the cost of a one-day, one-park ticket. They will then be able to pay the balance over 12 months, with the payments charged to a credit card. For the time being, this option will be available to Southern California residents only

So....I called DS's doctor to get a refill on his prescription. Kept trying for nearly a week (we cannot run out). Finally his DR answers the phone, and lets me know that the sheriff came, locked his doors and I should find a new doctor . On a plus note he called in 6 refills for the prescription

So, since I am hardly here to talk anymore, I think I will just talk to myself.


Here is a crazy story. The other day, I was in the car with the kids (DH was in the store). I had a $20, $10, $5 and $1. I asked Alecia how much money this was. She started counting aloud, said "$20" and was about to continue in sequence - Alec sitting next to her blurted out, plain as day $36


So I removed the $10, and asked again. Alecia started to do the same, when Alec blurted out $26

And here is the bestest reason that I love where we live (besides the fact we have already had to winterize our house, and have dipped below the twenties )

Alec is getting speech therapy EVERY DAY!!! I got a call the other day from his speech therapist, and she asked permission to video tape him. The district is paying for him to be anaylzed by Dr. Kaufman - the NUMBER 1 EXPERT in apraxia . They will evaluate the video, and send any recommendations to help him not only with his speech therapy, but in the classroom!!!!

It will be very scary as the year progresses (Higley schools (sorry Shawna) told me he would definitely be repeating kindergarten). But he totally knows all the curriculum, and is performing at anything non verbal better then most the students in his class (and mind you he is the youngest).

I cant believe how cold it is here! BRRR.. Are you freezing up there. I see it will be up in the mid 90's soon but we were cold when we got home last night.

You should have seen us in the rain. sometimes we had the ponchos sometimes we didnt and they looked at us funny and we just told everyone we were from AZ and would not see rain in months!

We are pretty much freezing up here - it is supposed to be back in the 70's by the weekend. We have seen highs in the 40-50's and lows in the 20's. We had to crank the heater, start up the fireplace, disconnect the swamp cooler, unhook the hoses, and buy the dog a new pair

Dizzy, your boy seems to have a gift with numbers! How cool is that??? DH can amortize a loan in his head. That kind of gift comes in real handy at times!!!

That's awesome how well he's doing in class, and getting daily speech therapy. Sounds like he's progressing by leaps and bounds, you must be so happy!
