The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

I am just so drained...I don't even know if I am excited or not...I am to tired to think about that...

its ok Ali, I talk to myself all the time....:rotfl2:

DH sent the kids down to the store for ice cream. So I ate an apple while they were gone. Figured I would be less tempted by the ice cream if my tummy was full. It worked, I'm stuffed and ice cream doesn't even sound good now.

I know, I need to get packed....

Did you decide to go too? Are you going to meet up with Shawna? My sister will be there for the race for the cure on Sunday. She usually gets a room for the night before so they don't have to get up so early.

I was weak...I ate chips

:lmao: Ice cream is one of the few desserts I can resist. My biggest snack problem is popcorn. I LOVE popcorn, with about 1/2 a pound of real butter on it. Yummy!!

I didn't decide, DH has decided....I havent packed, I havent gone to store for DS,,,he has informed us he is 19 almost 20 and is staying home...

Do you trust him with the house?:rotfl2: I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself once you get there.

although, a nice nap on the plane sounds good...:thumbsup2

A nice nap curled up by the woodstove with a book and a fuzzy blankie sounds good to me! I have a hard time sleeping on planes.

I trust him, but DH thinks there will be a party....he knows the neighbor will rat him out..:rotfl2:

Today was the last day of nice weather for a while. Our upcoming forecast...Friday- high 63 & rain, Saturday - repeat, Sunday - repeat, Monday - repeat, Tuesday - lather, rinse & repeat....

I am sitting on my rather large butt thinking.....someone needs to secure the house...I am sleeping in the chair because I don't feel like moving:lmao:

I just came home from shopping at Nordstrom and Macy's. I had gift cards for both stores and needed to present hunt for one grandmother. She will be 80 some years old next week. I believe 81 or 82 years old. I didn't know what to get her but I found a lovely lipstick collection by Estee' Lauder. I hope she likes it. I was also happy to have found honey cake soap by Shiseido. I rarely see it in stock and I think it's seasonal but they had tons. :yay: :dance3: It's really gentle face soap and it smells wonderful.

They also started carrying products from L'Occitane and I got this wonderful honey/chocolate perfume that smells great. The sales lady was really nice. She said she liked me so she threw in 2 free gift sets that were for more expensive purchases. I was shocked but thrilled at the same time. Never had that happen before. :woohoo:

I also got a Juicy jewelry charm:

Stopped at Macy's and got some gift wrap and a birthday card and am now at home. :faint:

I like my flannel pj's and fuzzy socks...

Well I used to love dressing like that and laying in front of the woodstove on a cold winter day. We have a sectional sofa with a really long chaise on one end that is just perfect for stretching out on and catching a few thousand BTU's!

But then I started getting hot flashes and I don't think I've worn flannel since then. The only time I can get back to my normal body temp. is to take the Prozac for about 4-5 days in a row.

I was kind of bummed that it's going to start raining because I have absolutely loved driving to work in the mornings with the top down on the car. It's been 45-50 degrees in the mornings and it feels so good. I know that people have been driving past me looking at me like I'm an idiot.
