I used my gift card and tried a new restaraunt inside Nordstrom. It wasn't bad. They actually had good crab cakes but everything is appetizer size. I also tried a vegetable salad with sherry vinagrette and it tasted awesome. I did feel a little weird eating alone but it was quiet and not busy at all.

So how was everyone's day? Work was really boring so my co-workers and I hand-ripped papers from 1983 for the bosses. Our shredder broke.

I am not kidding when I say that I would hang down in the freezer...hot flashes blow...and in the winter, I did the same thing with my window...and of course it gets nasty with your mood...I pull up at light its below 0 out and people are looking at me...I was like...What are you looking at mister...never seen a hot flash before... he turned his head straight...I couldn't help myself...It sucked.

I am sitting on my rather large butt thinking.....someone needs to secure the house...I am sleeping in the chair because I don't feel like moving

Perhaps you should just sleep with a 357 Magnum on your lap. That oughta secure the house!

I just came home from shopping at Nordstrom and Macy's. I had gift cards for both stores and needed to present hunt for one grandmother. She will be 80 some years old next week. I believe 81 or 82 years old. I didn't know what to get her but I found a lovely lipstick collection by Estee' Lauder. I hope she likes it. I was also happy to have found honey cake soap by Shiseido. I rarely see it in stock and I think it's seasonal but they had tons. It's really gentle face soap and it smells wonderful.

They also started carrying products from L'Occitane and I got this wonderful honey/chocolate perfume that smells great. The sales lady was really nice. She said she liked me so she threw in 2 free gift sets that were for more expensive purchases. I was shocked but thrilled at the same time. Never had that happen before.

I also got a Juicy jewelry charm:

Stopped at Macy's and got some gift wrap and a birthday card and am now at home.

Sounds like a fun afternoon. I miss my grandma, she was so much fun. When I was little we used to go to the coffee shop at Kmart and sit around all day (her drinking coffee and me drinking icee's) waiting for blue light specials. My grandma and I could spend hours together doing stupid stuff and laugh and laugh. I have an awesome picture of us together (when I was about 15) and I was teaching her to disco dance. I come from a long line of crazy women! Whodathunkit?

Sounds like a fun afternoon. I miss my grandma, she was so much fun. Aww...that sounds like a fun grandma! I wish my grandmas were fun. The older they get the more baby-like they become Seriously, my mom is like: "What are you going to do if I act like that?" and I jokingly said: "Stick you in a senior home!"

If I ever become a grandma I'll make sure to be the first in my family who bakes cookies and sneaks 50 cents to the grandkids

We have a little shredder at work, but I save all of my big shredding jobs for the winter time. Then I just bring a truck load home and DH builds a giant fire and we burn them, along with branches, leaves and all sorts of other unwanted vegetation. I had to laugh one time when our insurance company sent out a form asking how we disposed of personal payroll & banking information. A lady from their main office in Chicago called me and asked what I meant by burning it. Well let's see, I take a match, a bit of diesel & oil to get the fire started, add a few thousand pounds of tree branches and poof up in flames it goes!

Reminds me of the time a couple of years ago when the clerk at the grocery store asked me (during October breast cancer awareness month) if I would like to make a donation to breast cancer...I said "what isn't giving my left breast enough"?

I never feel that tired when I'm doing something like that, but it always takes me a couple of weeks to get all of my energy back. Guess I just need to sit around this weekend and do absolutely nothing.

Since Alison is here... DS4 is refusing to change his poopy pull-up. He tried to con DH into changing it, but I rolled my eyes at him. He told DS, "Honey, you know how to do it yourself, so you need to take care of it." DS4 began to whine, and tried to get me to change him, and I said the same thing. Then he wanted me to come "watch" him, and since I was in the middle of loading the dishwasher, I declined.
