Yeahhhhh, I think it's genetic. Either that, or these brilliant men are doing it on purpose, so that you ask them only in extreme situations to cook.He is definitely doing better then when we first met. He could barely make make toast. He could grill fine.. Thats not an issue.. But to him, he will grill up some meat, and ther eyou go. Theres dinner.You cant just feed them MEAT!! I just want to get him to understand exactly WHAT is in a balanced meal.. He seems to not get it.

My dad was a meat and potatoes kind of guy; as long as you've got meat and potatoes, it's a meal. DH is the king of the one dish meal. He offers to make dinner, then goes out and grills chicken or steak, and comes back in, either surprised that the rest of the meal didn't make itself or that we even NEED anything else. (Criminy Christmas, NO WONDER you've got heart trouble, buddy!!!)
