The horse girl, her big guy and WDW..a trip report! Update 8/4-Day 10, pg 26!

I didn't ride MS so I have no idea although so many people say no big deal. I do sometimes get motion sickness so I wasn't all that excited about MS so when it didn't work out I wasn't upset! Punkin suggested dramamine - which had never occurred to me but makes sense! I get carsick sometimes and airsick if it is turbulent, but I can ride the teacups! Makes no sense at all, but I'm glad 'cause I love the teacups. My five year old nephew told my mom and me before we went that he was going to spin us on the teacups! Boy, did he! My head was spinning when we stopped but it was so fun, and he loved it!

I can hardly wait for you to get to go! I'm getting excited to hear about the actual trip!

We are definitely going to get those buttons! DSIL wants us to get the bride/groom Mickey hats but that's just not me. I know it might up our chances of a Dream but I just hate drawing attention!! It's also my bday on the 26th so I will get a sticker for that day too!

Happy Early Birthday! But I know what you mean about drawing attention. Also, I think the Dream Team looks for normal people just enjoying the park IMHO

She laid on it after the wedding so it was ok in my book! But I only let her lay on it long enough to take a pic b/c she has a bad habit of peeing on things that are mislaid on the floor in the basement every once in awhile. ie. old towels, boot trays, door mats. Luckily it hasn't been anything upstairs....knock on wood!!!

First off, your wedding dress is beautiful...I know you posted one pic at the beginning but can you post more pics of your wedding?
Second, when I got married and moved out of my moms house, my mom and I had two cats. Well, one cat was so mad I left he proceeded to pee on everything! Grrrrrrrrr

I showed DH my TR last night and when he saw that pic he gave me a weird look as well! I told him that people like to see that stuff and I like to post it. We are bizarre aren't we??

At this point my DH is just glad you people have to deal with me and not him!!

So today I changed an ADR...DH and I watched Disney Great Escapes on the Travel channel last night and saw a little excerpt about Artists Point. I didn't think he would like the food but he said it looked really good!! So I called today to see if I could cancel 1900 on the 29th and reserve AP. They had the same time so I switched it. I had never been to 1900 and only made it so DH could get prime rib. I am not thrilled with "face" characters so I could care either way. I am excited! We have never done a sit-down, order off a menu, TS restaurant at WDW. Since it's 2 TS credits we are going to pay OOP for Trails End on our last night..it's super cheap anyway.

Anyone have any feedback on AP??

I have never been to AP only a buffet at 1900 years back. Did you check out the food porn thread? Surely there are lots of reviews of AP. I do like the name...sounds romantic!

More wedding pictures coming right up! I got them back from the photographer last week but have yet to even go through them. I think I am in the WDW zone and will focus on the wedding pictures when we get back.

Now the teacups would do me in..I would get sick just running the ride at the amusement park near my house a few summers ago. I am getting old..I used to be able to ride anything!!

I think DH and I are heading to Vero Beach or Hilton Head next summer. Good for us but bad for a girls only WDW trip!!

It's too bad we couldn't have done a trail ride together this trip! I was thinking of taking one on the 30th when DH is golfing but it's no fun alone.

10 days to go!!! It seems unreal that it's so close after planning this trip since August. I have actually (finally!! ) started to pack. Since I wear crappy summer clothes to work, and DH wears dress clothes, I can pretty much start packing our nice park clothes. We only wear this stuff on weekends so as long as I leave some stuff out for this upcoming weekend we will be all set. DH bought some new shirts at BJ's this past weekend. He likes those Under Armour polyester collar shirts..it is all he will wear in the parks since they are super cool. DH does NOT like the heat but he will never once complain! He bought a swell Mickey one last year for the price of 3 from BJ's! So now he has about 6 and since we will do wash when we get to SSR he is good to go!

I actually bought a ton of cute shirts at Forever 21 this spring. I love that store..super cute retro shirts for super cheap. (Like $12/shirt ) I would love to wear tank tops at the parks but I would BURN BABY, BURN!! I don't want to have to bring sunblock (SPF 689183012 for me! ) to the parks so I stick with T-shirts. They are super thin so it works.

As for shoes there is only ONE pair from my lovely shoe collection that will get me through the day. My Sketchers. Not my pink Sketchers, b/c they fit too tight, but my thrift store Sketchers. I bought them for $6 2 years ago, brand new, when I was shopping for baby clothes for my sister. Now I treat them like gold. I hardly wear them b/c I don't want to wear them out. My puppy chewed one of the laces in half but it still works so I haven't bought a new one. (Unless I could find the EXACT same pair of laces somewhere I won't switch them..I am a tad too OCD!! ) Anyway, these shoes are the only pair that don't hurt my feet. I bought a pair of running/walking shoes last year for WDW but they hurt my feet after 30m. I have really sensitive feet. I can hardly get through a mall trip. So my blue Sketchers are as precious as my engagement ring.

DH did get a new pair of sneaks...he does not treat his shoes nicely and needs new sneaks every 6 months. You know how guys do it...they keep them tied (or even untied!! ) and then just kick them off. Wearing out the inside heel part. Lovely. But his new ones are pretty swell.

I know there are many more exciting things then looking at pictures of clothes but hey, I am out of things to ramble on about. Cut me some slack!!

The tops are super comfy..VERY thin. Sometimes you can feel the breeze through them!

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed WCC!! I wish we could have fit it in again...I even checked the itinerary last night for the tenth time with no luck. There are just 9 other TS's that are more important!!

Very cute shirts! I always use trips as an excuse to buy new stuff lol! I have the same issue with sneakers too! I bought a cheap pair at payless for our honeymoon trip (2005) and wore them the whole time no pain. I bought a new pair last trip and after a day i chucked 'em in the suitcase and wore another pair the whole time! My old ones still fit and feel great tho! DH thinks I'm a little nutso because I am bringing 4 pairs of shoes for our 8 day trip (5 of which are in Disney) but i have to have sneakers, croc flips flops and 2 other pairs of flip flops to match everything LOL! What do men know about shoes anyway!!!

IMHO, and as a back-up pair, also good for the water parks are...Crocs. They are very lightweight and water does nothing to them. Have you ever tried them. I know I resisted them for two years before I would "lower myself" to just try them on....then....wham, bam, thank you mam.....its about all I wear these days!
