Glad you could check-in...been slow on the trip part except that we are almost at the THREE WEEK mark!! :thumbsup2

I was reviewing all my ADRs in case I wanted to change anything last minute. I really wanted a BBQ meal and originally had HDDR booked. Since I cancelled that I don't really have one unless you count Dixie Stampede but not sure how "BBQ" that is. So I wanted to add WCC on...I think they have the best cornbread in WDW~~ (DH hates cornbread...I love it!!! )
I just don't see where we can fit it in though. I could cancel 1900 for dinner but I know DH will want his prime rib. Anyone been there..how is it??
I think when your trip gets closer, and there isn't much to do, you feel like you have to do something!! Hence, tweak ADRs!!

DH and I decided on Vero Beach for next August, if we can get a ressie at the 7 month mark. Infact, my best friend and her family may come too but they will have to rent points. So that's something to look fwd. to in between Disney trips. I guess that's all for now....hang in there...only 4 weeks until I can move this thread off the pre-trip report board to the real TR thread!!! ;)

PS-For your viewing pleasure...some pics from last year of rides we are super excited for!!!

DH!!

Ha. No.

Kiefer Sutherland aka Jack Baurer on 24!! Very nice to look at!!! ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: I see now why I didnt recognize him... my tv at home has cartoons or sports or reality shows on .... not actual normal adult shows like that! :rotfl2:

Not much to do?????????? Do you have your 3 page packing list for each person in your party? Did you finish shopping and decide how you are going to deal with the water issue? Do you send yourself water, buy it there, buy a mug at the resort or what?? Decisions, decisions!

My friend said that if you get up one morning and decide to change your ADR's you can call from your room. A lot of times you get what you want. :confused3 I never tried it but it is a possibility.

Nope. I started it but I can almost do it in my head. I will probably start one tomorrow at work!! :rotfl:
It would be cheaper to send water but since it's only DH drinking it we will splurge on the $3.50 or so a day. Hopefully a bottle will make it through the day and he can refill it each AM. Or I will bring a ton of empty ones with me. Hmm.
That's good to know. I doubt I will be that indecisive. Once we are on our way I won't be so wishy-washy!!

:wizard:

TOT is a great ride!!! Have you ridden it before? We only did it once last time so I plan on going a few more on this next trip since we can slow down a little. We are staying 2 extra days this time. :goodvibes

still reading! Just got back - finally, just barely got to ToT but still loved it! I hadn't done it in about 10 years (but it was my favorite - ever!), and I was a little afraid my stomach couldn't handle it anymore, but it was great! My ten year old niece rode with my brother and me. My sister-in-law likes roller coasters but ToT isn't her favorite, and the smaller niece and nephew decided they weren't ready this time. (They both had done it previously at Disneyland a couple of years ago).... anyway long story short - I still love it!

Hope you and Ray have a blast, Tara! (ps Did I get names right?! I did! Didn't I?!)

also, on the subject of changing ADRs while you're there: we did do that some. Some things weren't even remotely available, but we got the Plaza restaurant and Liberty Tree Tavern both for lunch - no characters or anything extra special, but they were both really nice meals that we called about not more than a couple of hours before we wanted to have lunch.

Wishing you as much fun as we had! It was great as always!

You did get the names right!! :wizard: I think the one I thought would kill my stomach the most was MS. Did you ride that one?? Anything that does circles is what I can't take. Rollercoasters are always fine. Unless they go backwards like the one at Six Flags near me. No way. I also have to ride shotgun, or drive, a car. The backseat does me in!!

Hey guys! Nothing too exciting on the trip planning front. Went to Target this weekend and got some small toiletries. Last trip we just took big bottles of stuff, b/c let's face it, the small ones are such a rip off!! Most of the ones I bought were 99cents and I could have a full size bottle for $2 more. But I don't want to carry all that weight again and it's just plain old fun to buy them!! So here is a pic of what I got (I did buy the full size t.paste though....it was actually 10cents cheaper then the mini size!!! )

Way back in my DVC chapter I think I forgot to mention the bag they sent me! It's awesome!! Same thing you could buy in the store for probably $20. I forgot I had it b/c it got shuffled into our "junk room" with some other stuff. So now I have all my Disney planning books in it!!

I can't believe the trip is so close! I had a rough weekend which took me away from my excitement but I am hoping to get back on track this week. I just have clothes to pack. I already have our bathroom travel bags packed, for the most part.

Two of our three dogs were supposed to go to Ray's parents for the week, like last year. My timid dog, Pippin, went to my dad's. Well since last year my dad has taken the B shift and lengthened his work day to work 4, 10 hr days. Pippin still chews so he can't be left out so I crate him. I am not worried about him holding it...I am worried about his hips. He is only 2 but already has hip dysplasia. I think being in his crate for 11 hrs. would kill him. I manage it well by using a certain food and a joint supplement but that's just too much. So to make a long story short..he will be going to Ray's parents as well. That's 5 dogs for them to care for!!! We may pass Ray's dog off on evil DSIL since she only has a cat. Ray's parents are fine with it either way and honestly, our dogs are well behaved. (Sounds like something every parents says!! :rotfl: ) I have my best guy friend coming to house every day for the cats. Here are some nice pics!! :goodvibes

This is me and Pippin in the Adirondacks last fall.

Here is another shot of my best guy friend Dave, me, Pippin and my other dog Sassy...she's hiding behind Pippin.

The only cat picture I have...Daphne laying on my wedding dress!!! (Don't worry..she's declawed!! )

:yay: Hi Tara! Just checkin in~glad you are almost ready! :thumbsup2 My friend got married last year, and they are just getting around to their honeymoon in three weeks...:rotfl: I know you are going to really have a great time. Make sure you get those buttons that say you are on your honeymoon! :thumbsup2

Hey it will be here before you know it! :goodvibes

Seriously, what is it about buying travel size toiletries that is so exciting? But I agree with you - it's fun.

Sorry you had a rough weekend...but disney planning is always a surefire way to cure the blues for me.

Cute doggies too! :cutie:

We are definitely going to get those buttons! DSIL wants us to get the bride/groom Mickey hats but that's just not me. I know it might up our chances of a Dream but I just hate drawing attention!! It's also my bday on the 26th so I will get a sticker for that day too! :goodvibes

I can't believe your cat is laying on your wedding dress. I think I would have had a fit. Everything sounds like it's coming together for ya. I can't wait to hear more.

She laid on it after the wedding so it was ok in my book! But I only let her lay on it long enough to take a pic b/c she has a bad habit of peeing on things that are mislaid on the floor in the basement every once in awhile. ie. old towels, boot trays, door mats. :scared1: Luckily it hasn't been anything upstairs....knock on wood!!!

Oh okay. As long as it was after. :rotfl2: My cat has lays in my dresser drawer if I leave it open. I'll turn around to do something and turn back around and she's in it. She pees on stuff to...so she has to get out after I take her picture.:lmao:

I had to post because while i was reading DH looked over my shoulder and saw the pic of your toiletries and just gave me a really funny look...it's a good thing he doesn't read my TR's because he'd really think we were all nutso! :rotfl2:

BTW the DVC bag is really nice!!!

:lmao: I showed DH my TR last night and when he saw that pic he gave me a weird look as well! I told him that people like to see that stuff and I like to post it. We are bizarre aren't we??

So today I changed an ADR...DH and I watched Disney Great Escapes on the Travel channel last night and saw a little excerpt about Artists Point. I didn't think he would like the food but he said it looked really good!! So I called today to see if I could cancel 1900 on the 29th and reserve AP. They had the same time so I switched it. I had never been to 1900 and only made it so DH could get prime rib. I am not thrilled with "face" characters so I could care either way. I am excited! We have never done a sit-down, order off a menu, TS restaurant at WDW. Since it's 2 TS credits we are going to pay OOP for Trails End on our last night..it's super cheap anyway.

Anyone have any feedback on AP??

:goodvibes :goodvibes
