From what I've heard there is no second season.

DD read an article in one of the teen magazines that featured an interview with Lauren and she said that was the last of reality shows for Lauren.

(DD said she heard from a friend that the show was staged. Don't know that for sure, though. )

AND your DD is correct from what I heard as well. I heard that the break-up scene with Heidi and Jordan was sort of "staged"...I mean they did indeed break-up but the Producers kinda sort of told her what to say....

I do not think it was as good as LB at all. I want looking forward to checking out the new LB...

O and for the record....I CANNOT stand Jason AT ALL....get lost dude, you are horrible as an actor and as a person!

And as far as Lauren is concerned she has all her priorities messed up if she gives up the likes of PARIS, FRANCE to spend the summer "hanging" with Jason....YUCK!!!

DD told me to watch Laguna Beach with her when the next season starts. . . I don't know if I'll like it. . . She said Lauren's little sister is going to be on there, too.

Okay, I have to say I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that choosing a beach house in Malibu with a guy who cheated on you doesn't even come close to a summer in Paris. Unbelievable.

Every time I see a commercial for the new season of Laguna Beach I notice how young the kids look. Don't they seem a bit younger??

Shelby- They look quite a few years younger than the previous season. DD has the full boxed set of the first season and I was comparing the two thinking- Wow!

My friend and I just watched and were commenting on how LC doesn't "need" Paris in order to make it in fashion. Being famous she can basically do anything. Whitney on the other hand I think is more deserving since she got the original intership without LB fame and will probably have more success in the long run because of the experience.

That being said I think Lauren is stupid for not going. If fashion is really what you want to do for the rest of your life Paris is where you go! Jason should have told her to go and not look back. I think any guy who cares about a girl as much as he supposedly does would realize what an opportunity that is. Oh well - I always get sucked into the [fake] drama!

Really...I think Jason is a complete loser...actually if you look up LOSER in the dictionary you will see Jason's picture... (I just kill myself)....

Anyway, he does not care the least about her...it is all about Jason and Jason being on a TV show on the MTV...what exactly DOES HE DO...is he gainfully employed..I think he is a PLAYER...period!!!

As far as LC goes, she should be going to Paris but she isn't and what a shame...her priorities are totally messed up...but her family is LOADED so she will get whatever she wants whenever she wants....

I agree that she should have gone to Paris.
The whole thing felt more and more staged to me as the season progressed. (I even wonder if she honestly got the Teen Vogue job. I mean come on she was on their cover in like May. And even if she did, I wonder how the other iterns [other than the little friend they kept showing her with] felt about it?)
I think I'll go back to watching Laguna Beach. Oh, and I agree the kids look younger this season (like sophomores or juniors instead of seniors.)

I think Lauren is dumb for not going. Jason, as a previous poster said, is a loser. She needs to wake up. And I also am curious as to what he does? Does he work? How the heck can he afford a house in Malibu for the summer??? I assume he comes from a wealthy family?

I am sooo glad I am not the only one who was left totally surprised that she chose to stay with Jason. He doesn't treat her good, and if they really are in love then they could have been together when she got back. SHe wants to be a desginer soo bad, yet she gave up Paris????? At least Whitney got to go. That was pretty tricky though when they showed the airport and Lisa Love waiting for someone...I was like "YES! she's going to Paris"..but nope.

I also liked Laguna better, but looking at the commercials for the new season I don't think I amg going to like this one very much..who knows though ..I am addicted to the fake mtv reality shows..

For the prospect of Season 2 of the Hills:
Production on the second season of The Hills will begin almost immediately, according to the show’s executive producer. Tony DiSanto tells the New York Post, “We’ll start shooting right away because you don’t want to potentially miss cool stuff that’s happening in these people’s lives.”

The finale, which aired last night, only “wrapped about three weeks ago,” according to the paper, so the aftermath of Lauren’s decision to follow her man instead of her career.

Thus, producers don’t want to miss anything. “We’re going to dive right in ASAP. We’re going to get the troops back together and jump in,” DiSanto said.

I liked her decision. While Paris would have been cool I don't think she missed out on the biggest opportunity of her life by not going.
