The Handbasket Trio, 12/11! - Postponed 7/11

Well I wanted to post a proper reply from my computer, but I won't be pulling that out for a while, so....

ADRs look good. I love Tokyo dining! That does sound adventurous for you! :lmao: I'd like to try Raglan Road sometime. Hopefully it will all come through and you'll get to take your trip as originally planned.

:rotfl: Thanks :) Yeah, Tokyo Dining is a little adventurous for me, but I'm sure I can find something on the menu I'll like :) Besides, this is their trip, too, not just mine. I originally had us down for Le Cellier, but decided to skip it this trip, especially once I told Cherry about the options. She seemed more interested in Tokyo Dining, as did Molly.

I really hope you guys get to try Raglan Road sometime :) If you can, go during the evening! They have live Irish dancing! :dance3:

As much as I hate to say it, this trip is going to be postponed. We don't have a date yet, but probably sometime in 2012. We were talking about the possibility of going in May, but we're not sure yet. My family's planning a reunion in December 2012, so that wouldn't work for the three of us.

The reasons for this decision are many. I've been out of work since April and have only had three interviews. I just can't get people to call me. I'm hoping to have a job soon and am going to an interview at a job fair (it's at a coffee shop) on Friday and will also be asking my mom when she gets back from camping if maybe we can put some nepotism to work and see if she can get me a job at the company she works at. I'd rather go with the job fair, but I have a feeling that it'll be incredibly overcrowded.

Molly is also extremely strapped for cash. She came back from a vacation today and found out that she owes $1000 to her city for a long-forgotten traffic ticket. Her father paid it for her, but is going to take it out of her checks until it's paid off (she works for her dad).

Cherry, on the other hand, has the most difficult situation between the three of us. She recently left her partner due to reasons I don't really feel comfortable saying here. Suffice to say it was not a healthy relationship by anyone's standards. She's currently without a place to live, and has been couch surfing for the last week. She's working, but is focusing on trying to find somewhere to live.

So... Yeah. There's just no way we can all afford to make this trip happen this year. It's sad, but given the circumstances, it's what we have to do. Molly and I are talking on Aim right now and she just suggested either May or September, both of which are fine with me. As such, this PTR's going to be on hold :sad1:

:grouphug: Sorry hear about everyone's difficulties, but you're smart to plan it when you are all in a better financial situation. And I'll be there the first week of May in 2012! Maybe our trips can overlap!

Good luck on the job front!

Oh, I'm so sorry you have to postpone your trip. :( I hope things start going better for you guys soon! :)

You should go in May, I'm going in May! Not sure when, but it will definitely be involving Memorial day in some way. :cool1:

Yeah, such is life, but, honestly, it'd be a much better trip when we're able to afford to have a good time. If we go in May, it'd be for Star Wars Weekends, and probably early in the month. I'm still hoping to go to DLR for my birthday next year, which is the first week of June :lmao: So yeah, the first week of May might work :teeth:

Eh, it happens. But, like I said above, it'll be a much better trip when we're able to afford it and not stress about how much it's costing.

I think it'd probably be early May because of my hopeful trip to DLR :lmao: My birthday's right after Memorial Day.
