Was anyone else scared to death with the previews? (no pun intended)

Reminded me of the excorcist which I still haven't been able to see.

Saw the ring on HBO a while back was shakin with fear.

Just call me chicken!

Is The Grudge a new movie? Guess I must have been in a cave because I've never even heard of it. What's it about?

I've only seen The Exorcist one time and it scared the living daylights out of me.

Yes! I saw them once, and now whenever they come on, I look away because they are too scary. It looks just like The Ring.

It is not related to "The Ring." It is a remake of a different Japanese horror series. But everything about it looks like The Ring, including the plot (from imdb), poster, and previews.

I heard that it is somehow related to "The Ring" and also heard that it was written by the same Japanese author but haven't confirmed this yet - anyone else?

The Grudge is NOT related to The Ring. There's quite a bit of controversy going on right now because there are many similar aspects. Case in point, the movie poster. Another was the time the movies were to be released (Ring 2 and Grudge). Ring 2 pushed its date back because of this, though they site "additional filming."

The Grudge (American version) was filmed by the same guy who made the Japanese version. It's pretty much the same, but a little gorier. If you go to some websites, you can see clips from the Japanese movie...and boy, if that little meowing kid ain't scary!!

I can't WAIT for this movie!! Woohoo!

Wow I was just saying that the Ring scared me . What a coincedence. It reminded me of The Ring. Or maybe they referred to it in the preview?

Well it scared me enough to know that I will not be able to sit through it.!!!!!!!!!

I really think they are doing these movies so well you can't help but BELIEVE its real!

I can't wait to see this movie. I love scary movies. Also I was/am a huge Buffy fan so any Sarah Michelle Gellar movie is a must see for me. Well except maybe the Scooby Doo ones.

OK, I love scary movies (and the Ring scared the heck out of me), but this website just gave me the heebie jeebies . I actually jumped, looking at a darn website!!! Is there anywhere online to see the trailer for the film, I couldn't find one navigating that site?

I am patiently awaiting it's arrival to DVD!!! I know it isn't out yet, but well, I am waiting and will have that one these are my kinds of movies

My 16 yr said the previews look really scary and she watched the Exocists and thought it wasn't bad. (same with The Ring) Now I can't even watch anything relating to the exorcists without getting scared. I never even saw the movie..but tried to read the book...notice the word tried!

The Grudge is totally different than The Ring and is not written by the same person. It is directed by the same person (Shimizu) that directed the original movies (the Ju-On series). I have seen the Japanese original and it was THE scariest movie I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot. I have been a horror movie addict since I was 5 yrs old. I just hope the American version does it justice. My husband got freaked out watching the preview the other day, it looks like they have done a good job. Can't wait to see it.
