Not the most important of questions, but does anyone know if they sell shot glasses at the POP or anywhere in WDW for that matter. I have a collection of them from everywhere I have traveled to and I want to include one from WDW in my collection.

Not sure if they sell them at Pop but I know they had some at a gift shop on Main St. in the MK. Probably the Emporium. I had to bring one back for a co-worker who collects them.

They are every where. My DF also collects shot glasses and she bought a ton of them during our trip (we just got home from the POP a little over a week ago). To find a shot glass with the POP logo on it - they are way in the back of the store near where you pick up your delivered packages. Across from the hygiene and OTC drug supplies you can buy. I hadn't gone all the way in that corner until one night while waiting for my packages. This is where all the items with the POP logo are. Just about every gift shop at WDW had shot glasses because it seemed like we had to stop at every store so my friend could by one.

Yes they do! My DH collects shot glasses also and I have bought him one from Pop before. :thumbsup2

Thank you all for the replies. Now, do I want one with the POP logo or WDW? I have a long time to decide, too long in fact. Thankfully, Disneyland is only an hour and a half away and we will be going there after they put up the Christmas decorations. That should tie me over until we go to WDW.

I think the laundry room is open 24/7 After certain hours you need to use your room key to get in, but they seemed to be open whenever I walked by!!

Thanks for the stroller info, thunderbird1 & disneymom5! I didn't realize it was only the rental stroller you couldn't take on the train. Good info to know!

Your welcome. Believe me, I know strollers! LOL
With our big dbl stroller, I like to know exactly where we are welcome and where we are not.
I bring along a baby sling for our youngest for waiting in lines, and riding on rides or buses.

Only a couple of weeks till I am at Pop!

You're a brave woman! Looks like you're arriving the day we're leaving. Good luck & enjoy!

When my son was little, we used to take oneo f the little coffee makers and run hot water through it (without coffee) to mix his bottles...

thanks for the info about the laundry rooms everyone.

I wouldn't normally like to do laundry when i'm on holidays either, but i'm travelling for 3 weeks, and definately don't want to pack three weeks worth of clothes!

We're the opposite. We always do the laundry on vacation as there are multiple washers and dryers. We can get it done early in the morning before going home in an hour or so. If we leave it till we get home, we only have one washer and dryer and it takes all day.

Hi all, my family and I usually stay at POR but if I want to go again so soon my DH wants to stay cheaper and I really don't mind. I would love to stay at POP but need an opinion. I understand that if I want a close room to the food court it is preferred, correct? If so which building is best to request?

The closest would be the 60's but you would be right by the pool so if you think that would be a problem then request the 50's or 70's. You'll still be in the closest parts of those sections to the main building but wouldn't have the noise from the pool. Have a great time!

Thanks, I think that if DH agrees to this, I will request 50's or 70's just for the noise factor.

Hi gang. Trying to plan a trip for Dec '08. We're on a budget so Pop it is (or POSSIBLY ASmu). Anyway, which buildings are close to the busstop/food court but NOT considered preferred? I don't want to pay extra, and don't mind a little walk. We've done CBR before so we KNOW how long a walk can really be!

I just returned today from the Pop and we had a standard room. After some "room" hopping", the first one's smoke smell would knock your socks off, we ended up in building 4 which is in the sixty's. we had a really great room which was on the back of the building facing the water and the pop century that was never finished. our room was only about 4 rooms in from the main pool and therefore close to everything. If you also want close to the bus stop I would consider the building in the sixties on the opposite side of the pool from building 4. I don't have a map in front of me so i can not remember which one it was. I have also found that if you fax your request 3-4 days before arrival, they do everything they can to try to accomodate you, but no guarantees. We love it at Pop, even since we are used to the home away from homes. If the kids come, we can afford to get two rooms (they are 20 and 26). Now we also have a refrigerator swap going on and we love it. If interested let me know. We have dates in November open and then starting next year.
